Lynne, looks like you beat me to the roll call this morning as I was typing as you posted. I feel so bad for you, as I only had the liquid diet the day prior to surgery. Sometimes I wish these surgeons would get together and agree on a standard protocol for patients. Hang in there, you will enjoy the rewards in the long run. Today, is just doing finals for my finance class and that is about it.

Wendi that seems to always happen when I post first.... Yes it really stinks everyone's doctor is different. I can't have broth or surgar free popsciles, jus****er and protein shakes. I'm at the point now where I want to puke up the water I drink..... Good luck on the finals.... Lynne

Hi Lynne and Wendi.... Two posts for today; that's Ok!! I'm going for my first fill in less than 2 hours... YAY!! and Dr. Guske is doing it. I called the office to make sure my appointment is with Dr. Guske and not the nurse or PA. That means tomorrow I'll have to be extra careful about what I ingest. So my supporters will have to watch over me. I know some of you have the lap band, so I need your support!! I am so excited that the day is finally here. I'll check in later. Hugs, Lucy

Lap Band on 04/14/08

My post fill instructions from their office were for clear liquids the rest of the day, then full liquids the next day, then blended, etc. Kind of like when you first get banded. Of course, they may give you different instructions. I had my second fill last week and have good restriction, I honestly cannot hold very much solid food. Which is very good. :)

Hi Mary. Just back from my first fill. Dr. Guske put in 3 cc's. I only felt the local going in. The rest was painless. He said today are liquids, tomorrow I can have soft and then after Saturday, I can have solids. So far, I lost 14.2 pounds!! I am very happy. It is a good start. My next appointment is July 28th. I have to remember now to drink slow. Lucy

Lucy, I'm glad to hear your appointment went well. Yes, last time I went I had the local too and no floro. Next fill is July 10. It's nice that you'll be able to eat soft foods, at least, at the party. Have a nice weekend. Mary
