OH I adore Arizona. I used to go up to the Sedona/Flagstaff area when some good friends lived there. Now they live in Florida, haven't had a chance to get away what with travel expenses these days. Plus my surgery costs (well worth it though!).

Hang in there Lynne. I was just thinking on my drive in to work today how much you must be suffering on the liquid diet.

Hi Mary. I love Arizona and specially Sedona. I was just there in May. I have purchased a timeshare at the Sedona Pines Resort and have stayed there twice already. I'd love to move out there but it's $$$$. Lucy

Yes, Sedona is magical. When you come around that one corner and see Bell Rock it just takes your breath away. I love Tlaquepaque shopping area, I used to love to go there, also just drive around and explore. That picture of me on my profile was at one of the vortex sites. My friends lived in Cornville (what a name) which is like 30-40 minutes out, more affordable. Right on the edge of one of the state parks. Those were fun times, hopefully me and hubby can go back someday. But not during monsoon season, lol.

Mary, oh the memories of Sedona. I liked Tlaquepaque too. My sister and I visited the vortexes too. The red rocks are so beautiful. I rented a car in Phoenix and drove up to Sedona. Lucy

Hi Lucy, Yes, that's what I used to do. After the first trip I decided no economy compact cars for that drive up I-17. You need a car with some pep! Plus the drivers all drive there! [ps no disrespect intended for our Arizona Friends ]

Hi Mary. I did get a nice car for the ride. It's so worth it. I loved the scenic drive. I got to know the town so well; it's so much better than calling for a taxi.

It's also nice to take the canyon road along the river (is that Oak Creek?) up to Flagstaff from Sedona. So very scenic. And peaceful. Much better than taking the interstate unless you are in a hurry. Darn, I really have to go again sometime.

Good Morning, Lynne, you are over the hump and headed downward. You just have this weekend to go and then Losers Bench. DH is home today, that means nothing I want to do gets done. But, thats ok, we have to go to the store and the lumber yard. We are also going to dinner tonight. Except for Christina's party tomorrow, it will be a quiet weekend. Wendi, I am glad you are home, take it easy for a couple of days, you don't want to be back in the hospital. Pam, Kim, Barry, you are all MIA. Please come back to us! Hugs,

Good morning everyone! It looks like another beautiful day out! I am off work today, so I should be able to enjoy some of it. Although I am headed out to Good Sam for a doctors appt. Good Morning Lynne and the rest of Illinois! Hang in there Lynne.....you are almost there. At least you only have 1 week. I did 2 weeks, but as we spoke yesterday, my liquid diet was a bit more liberal. I am thinking of you and pulling for you. As Mary said, the whole idea is to shrink your liver so it gives the doctor more room to work, which is a GOOD thing. Keep the good thoughts in mind. I am working today, then another busy weekend. After work, I need to pick Liv up from the museum then try to get her to Wisconsin in time for her tournament to begin at 5:30. She has 2 games tonight and 2 games tomorrow. Todd will take care of getting her up there tomorrow as I am heading to Warrenville!!!! We were reminded last night that we are also supposed to attnd a graduation party tomorrow night. If we make it to THAT party, it will be much later on in the evening. I will be checking in later today, but may not get a chance in the morning, so I hope to see many of you tomorrow! Have a spectacular day!
