Bonus R.O.D.-Shrimp Boil
Shrimp and Sausage Boil
6-8 servings (more for WLS)
1 3 oz. bag shrimp or crab boil
3 Tbs. Old Bay Seasoning
3 lb. new red potatoes
6 ears corn, husked and cut into 2 in. pieces
2 lbs. smoked sausage (kielbasa or andouille if you like spicy)
3-4 lbs. large unpeeled (or easy peel) shrimp
3 lemons, quartered
Italian (flat-leaf) parsley, snipped
In a very large pot (we used the turkey fryer) bring 2 gallons of water to boiling. Add bag of crab boil and
Add potatoes, a few at a time, allowing the water to continue simmering. Simmer 7-10 minutes ****il nearly tender).
Add corn, simmer uncovered 3 minutes.
Add sausage and shrimp, simmer uncovered 3-5 minutes until shrimp are opaque and sausage is heated through. (Do NOT overcook shrimp.)
Remove all food from water. (We wound up pouring through a big colander after fishing out what we could with deep fryer spoons.)
Pour into a newspaper lined platter (we used a catering sized aluminum pan).
Add lemon quarters and sprinkle with parsley.
Serve with garlic mayonnaise or ****tail sauce.

3/4 c. mayonnaise
2 Tbs. minced garlic
Mix together and chill
