Wednesday Roll Call
Good Morning Paul and the rest of my IL family.
I have been up for a while, but busy with other things around here and I thought I would jump on here and check in. Today Austyn is leaving to go on vacation for a week with his grandparents, I have to admit that I am glad. It will be a nice week I am sure. (Yes I am a wicked stepmother apparently)
Today, homework, brushing the dogs, running Jacob to the store for a birthday present for a friend and I think that's it.
I finally heard from my dad last night about 9:30pm that my mom came through surgery okay and was in a room finally! Surgery started late and she was in recovery for a while because she gets very very sick from the anesethia. Tomorrow my sis, my neice, Jacob and I will go and see her.
I am looking forward to Sunday, we will be going to my sister's house and she has a pool! I haven't worn a swimsuit in front of anyone other than immediate family for years and years...LOL
I hope that everyone has a wonderful day and enjoys the weather

on company time, ergo, not getting our work done, so I have to walk the straight and narrow pretty much. When I get home from work it's so hectic sometimes I can't sit at the computer longer than it takes to do what's necessary, what with housework, the dogs, and other stuff.
Other times like weekends I'm on longer, So I'll try to check in as much as possible.
SO>>>>>coming home from work just now, in a rainstorm, I pulled into a shopping center parking lot very near my home to go to Walgreens to pick up a prescription for my husband. Well, this girl was flying down the side of the parking lot, didn't even see me pull in (she was going straight because the parking lot extends past the entrance) I saw her and knew she was gonna hit me so I tried to speed up so she'd miss me but nope, nailed in the back quarter panel on the drivers side. i called the police because you need that report for the insurance. There's a pretty hefty scrape there, and she hit me HARD, My car went swerving and almost fishtailed, I don't think she even was paying attention.
She was a youngish young lady with a little boy in the back, I felt really bad but it wasn't my fault and you gotta do what you gotta do...I'm not really sure if she got a ticket I can't really tell from the police report. Her dad showed up just to make sure things were ok. I said, gee, I wish you'd hit the other side of the car, actually the passenger side already needed some repair work from my son mysteriously getting sideswiped at Woodfield at Christmas Time.
<----- my son
Sheesh. You never know. Now my back hurts, but it always hurts, so whatever.
Oh and our washing machine is STILL broken and my greyhound is still recovering from his torn out nail. but he's fine. the nail is growing back.
That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.
Cheers,
