Monday Roll Call
Good morning Paul and my Illinois family!
I haven't been on all week-end...I will need to read and catch-up on everyone's going ons. I missed you guys! I did get a lot of exercise this week-end!
My son closed on his house on Friday and I have been there everyday since....I can't believe all the changes he has done with his new place in such a short time. It was not the cleanest place...He's already replaced the toilet and sink... painted two bedrooms...bathroom...lr and dr. He's replaced the flooring in the bathroom and has started the kitchen flooring...needs to finish the kitchen when the floor is done.....but at least when we left last night I know it is now almost in move in condition. He has had plenty of help or he wouldn't be this far already. I'm very proud of him. Now he will need to shop for all those first time homeowners items.....towels...small kitchen appliances...lawn mower...rakes...patio furniture...etc....Still needs to paint the closets and put in new shelving. He's hoping to move in next week-end. With the help of his family and friends...he just might be done.
Oh well, must get my butt in gear and start moving around here....later guys!
Have a great day!
Good morning Paul and the rest of Illinois!
I am at work, but feeling kind of crummy. If I don't feel better by lunch time, I might just head home to bed. I hope it passes though.
The weekend passed quickly for me too. Friday night we went out in Rockford for Chinese, Saturday, we got LIv packed up then had a fire Saturday night. Yesterday, we took Liv to Girl Scout camp then had a barbeque with the neighbors (all 5 families!).
We are working on last minute details for "A Day in Rock City"----picking up donations for the silent auction, printing up the parade cards, etc..... I have two small pork roasts and a beef roast ready for the grill on Saturday and am looking forward to seeing those of you that are coming out!
I will get back to work now......everyone have a lovely day!
Dawn when is the Day in Rock City again,?
Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!
A Day in Rock City is this Saturday, July 19th! Activities begin at 6:30 am with breakfast at the Ambulance garage and go until 1:00 am when the street dance ends.
My house will be "home base" for all visitors. As many cars that will fit into my driveway are welcome to park there. I put some roasts on the grill for eating throughout the day and people usually bring a dish that can sit on the counter. We all come and go throughout the day. If we are not at the house, go downtown, you are bound to find us there!
Good morning to all! I am up and at it! I mowed a small part of our yard yesterday, so I am moving slowly. We have about 2 acers we mow and i might have got about 1/4 of it done and it took me for ever. My son when he comes over and mows can do it in no time. Well the new mower I got is self propelled and electric start. Well I guess I do not have the battery charged enough because I had to pull the cord which it starts real easy. Now as for the seld propelled I can not tell its there, but when I lift up the rear tires off the ground they are spinning. I thought you could feel it kinds pull or go by its self some? HUMMMMM Oh well good exercise. Now today I am weeding the flower beds, I was gone from last Wed got home late Friday had things to do over the weekend and now I have weeds. Too much rain green pool again and weeds, I might get it all done before the weekend! My son will finish mowing its too much for me!
Ok now to update seen Dr Rosen Thursday, I lost 9.5 pounds from June 5th to July 9th...He said I am where he would have expected me to be. I have lost 60% of the weight todate. I am so close to being down in the 170's I can smell it. So anyway my doc visit was a good one! Support group went well too. Lots of foods to sample. Dr R even brought his smoothie he made from frozen berries and medifast protein shake... Sweet but very good! I did miss all the first friends I made here on OH being there! Sorry no one could make it you were all missed.
Paul If my mower could just pu****self I could just use the bar from the kitchen and sit back and listen to the radio while it worked!!! Oh well I did carry a freezer pop with me while I mowed. No drink cup holder on these darned things!
Have a great day!!!! Keep smiling!!
Karen

Good Morning Paul and the rest of my IL family.
Sounds like a good weekend Paul! congrats on the new mower! lol Hmm I wonder who was at your door that late, that's odd. We had that happen at midnight one night, it was the police...of course every bad thing that could happen runs through your mind, but he was letting us know that our garage door was open and there had been some break ins lately....(that was a couple of years ago).
Anyway, today is just more of the same for me. Tyler to football camp, then home for homework. I get my new camera today that I won on Ebay and when Mike asks where that came from I will just tell him that I bought it for myself for our anniversary since he didn't even remember it. Just let him try to make me feel bad!! NOT gonna happen.
Tyler's team lost the play off game yesterday so baseball is over. Tyler also told me that he's probably not going to play anymore, either in high school or with the park district again. That makes me sad because it's my favorite sport that he plays. I enjoy the football, but it scares me because he's not very big..LOL
I hope that everyone has a wonderful day!
