WoW moments already

Good morning everyone.I hope you all are having a GREAT morning.The morning of surgery on July 9th The nurse weighed me at 295.That was WoW moment #1.I didn`t weigh again till 3 days after surgery & I weighed 302 because of all the air they pumped into me & the gas build up.After that the weight stared going.WoW moment #2.This morning I weigh 290.So I`ve lost 12 pounds in 6 days.I`m happier than a tornado in a trailer park!!! My tool is  working!
I recently had to hand over custody of my son to his dad because I could not control him anymore.He got into some trouble & went to a jouvinile detention center for 3 days.We told his probation officer that we were doing this to get him out of Effingham and into a smaller town where he would stay out of trouble.On his 3rd day we had to go to court.The states attorney agreed with that & said the only way he would release him from the detention center is if he goes immediately with his dad.So even thogu it hurts me that my son is no longer under my wing,I AM FREE to go where I want.This is MY time & it`s time for me to live FOR ME.So I am loving life already.My husband and I decided that October will be the month we move to Florida.

I am excited for you to move to Florida and loose the weight. It is sad though for your son. But he is in a better place with his father. Things will get better on that respect.
Where in Florida are you going to move. I live in Bradenton near Sarasota. I love it down here. Great weather all the time.
I do get to Illinois all the time though as we have a daughter in Chicago.
As a matter of fact I am going up there on Saturday for 4 days.

Thanks so much Carla.My son is only about 20 miles away but even though life was unbarable with him I miss him being with me.But I know he is better off with his dad now.I raised him myself for 14 years,now it`s his dad`s turn.It`s time for me to live now.I had absolutely no child hood due to childhood abuse in every aspect,I married as a teenager and have had no life of my own(for me)realy.I now have to learn to live without my son on my hip.It`s harder for a parent to let go than it is a child.I`m going thru a lot of wild rides these days.But My husband & I are moving to Orlando sometime in October this year.Just in time for me to get most of my weight off.I am just mainly wooried about the heat & humidity & our allergies.But we will just have to work around that stuff because We are coming to Florida one way or the other.lol

Orlando is only about 2 hours from me. I am a hairdresser in Sarasota. I went to school when I was 50 to redisign myself. I do know what you mean by doing something for yoruself.
You will get used to the heat and such. I did. I used to live in colorado for 24 years and Chicago area. I went back to live in chicago for 4 months about 18 months ago. I couldnt stand being away from my husband so I went back to Colorado. We sold our home and moved to Florida. I love it here.

I am disabled.I hurt my back on a job in my birthplace of Ohio in 91,it just kept getting worse & worse over the years.Then I developed degenerative disk disease which was handed down from my grandpa on my mom`s side,have neuritis in the back,Hernited disks,buldging disks,pinched nerves.& stenosis.Very bad back.Plus I have post traumatic stress disorder from a very badly abusive child hood.But? I`m hoping once a lot of this weight comes off the back problems will subside so I can begin some other forms of excersize.My back just took another turn for the worse about a week or two before surgery & was in the hospital for 3 days.The only reason they released me was because they couldn`t fit me in their dinky MRI machine.So they had to let me go so I could get an MRI somewhere else.The whole back left side from my lower back,down my buttock,down the back of the thigh & behind the knee is dead.The calf of my leg was dead but some of the feeling ion it came back.It is realy causing frustration because I can only walk the length of the street I walk on now,without severe pain &  tingling.

I know what you mean with having severe back pain. It can be very painful. But getting the weight off will help a lot.
I didnt have a lot of back pain when I was heavier. I had diabetes that was getting bad. Now I dont have the diabetes.
I have lost about 140 to 150 pounds. I had my RNY 6 years ago.
I know moving to a new area will relieve some of the frustration you have. I know it did for me.
When is your surgery again?
