Psych. evaluation - who did yours??

Hi guys,

I have to get a psych evaluation prior to being able to be submitted to the insurance company.  I have had no luck with the few that the surgeon's office recommended because my insurance does not cover me there.  So my question:  Where did you guys go to get yours or do you know of a doctor in the area who can do one??

Hi Elissa -
You picked a great surgeon!  My husband went to see Dr. Osborn which is one that is on the list of recommendations thru Dr. Rosens office.  I went to to see Keena Peak w/ Fox Valley Institute for Growth & Wellness.  Neither one of our evaluations were covered by insurance.

ps i will echo what Christina said - great choice on the doctor, his practice, staff etc. See you at support group one of these months.

 Christina and Christine I have missed both of you the last two meetings. I know Christine has been enjoying summer with all her weekend get aways, and Christina has had a summer full with vacation and neices and granddaughter. I hope to see ya both when I come up in Oct for a follow up with DR R.

Hi girls!

Thank you so much for the input!  I actually was able to find a doctor covered by my insurance through this site. I just kinda stumbled on it!  They did give me a few recommendations at Dr. Rosen's office, but they weren't covered by my insurance. 

I am still in the pre-approval stage.  Hopefully after I get this evaluation, we are going to submit to the insurance.  I went through them a year ago and got denied by aetna.  This time around I have Cigna, and I am hoping and praying this goes through (hopefully by the end of the year)  I do love them immensley over there at LWB.  They are amazing, arent' they??

Elissa you did choose a fine group to have your surgery! I love them there too! They make you feel so comfortable and like family! You can call them anytime for any reason and they are quick to help if at all possible!

I did not have to have one.  I was lucky.  I also had my approval one week after my first appointment with the doctor.
