Sunday Roll Call

Good Morning all,

It seems like it's going to be another beautiful day in the neighborhood.  I slept in and feel pretty good today. When I got up DH was now where to be found and the car was gone, so I figured he went off somewhere maybe to get the newspaper. Lo and behold a few mins later he came home. He was at Kmart when they opened and bought the WII Fit, so we have been playing/training with it since he got home. We each spent about 45 mins doing the basic exercises.  If was fun. I did well at the Hula Hoop, yoga  and downhill skiing.  It gives you some interesting info on balance and my Wii fit age is 10 years younger than I am..whoo-hoo!  Hope this will help in the weight loss plan. I did walk  yesterday in the am and with my new ped meter got up to  7500 steps. Am working up to 10,000 per day.   The scale is still at 245 so it's not a dream!  
Jen & the girls will be here soon, so I'm sure it'll be a WII Fit day!

Hello Chris and Illinois Friends

This is the second post here today.  I posted before church and came back to read everyones posts and mine is missing!    This is my kick back day.  I have visited with the neighbors and plan to talk to both of my sisters today.  Also will catch up on this weeks papers that I haven't gotten read and maybe catch a nap. 

Tina I am sorry about your accident.  I hope you will start feeling better soon.

Good Afternoon my IL family.

Today is a very sad day in our house as we had to put Shane down yesterday.  All I did yesterday was cry, I already miss him so much. 

My oldest sister called and is going to come out here with her hubby and her grandson (my neice's son) and we are going to head out to Philips Park Zoo is Aurora.  It's a little free zoo.  She just put her cat down a few months ago and she knows that I need to get out.  So that will be fun.  I will take my camera with me too..you just never know when you will get good kid pics.

I also found out today from my mom that my brother's son wa**** by a pickup truck while riding his bike about 2 weeks ago.  He broke his leg in two places and was in shock by the time the ambulance got there, but he will be okay thank God.  My brother didn't even let anyone know...what a dufus.

That's it for around here, the kids have one more week off before school starts and hopefully I'll have a job by then.  I do have an offer I am working on from Banfield Pet Hospital which would be great for me.  Wish me luck, I should hear about it this coming week.

Monica, You did the right thing. We can't be selfish and keep them alive if they are hurting, and you know Shane was. We have had to put down our 2 cats and one dog. DH said no more, he  said he can't  bring himself to do it again. Hold on to your memories, for they are good ones.

I am so sorry about Shane.  Our furbabies are a part of our family and it is so hard to let them go and even harder to have to put them down.  I have been in that situation several times and I hope I never have to be there again.  It takes time to get over such a loss.  Allow yourself time to grieve.  Shane is free of his pain and is at the Rainbow Bridge waiting to meet your family again. 

Hi All,
I might be missing in Action for a few days. The Hurricane that is named FAy is going to hit probably Tomorrow Night or Tuesday. I think it is going to hit the whole state.
Cars and gassed up in case we have to evacuate. My bag is packed, and I have a stash of money in my drawer in case.
Not sure where Ill end up!!!!! If they say leave Im going on a vacation to North CArolina to see my friend. She has a 5 bedroom house!!!!!!!

Well, only a few more weeks until school starts! We are trying to enjoy what is left of summer vacation. Brandon just turned 6 last weekend, he had his party at his Karate studio, and the kids had a blast!! Colin turns 4 in 2 weeks, his is having his party at gymnastics, and is super excited!! We are anxiously awaiting the start of Soccer in a few weeks also, and I am hoping to get Alex into a Mom/Tot evening program once school starts also. We are just keeping busy over here!!
I have been having baby fever VERY badly lately! lol   Luckily, I will start babysitting 2 new infants on the 2nd, so that should help curb the fever until we can safely have another
I have not been keeping up with the boards, so I don't know what is new with everyone. I am hoping to try to keep up now, but we'll see. Hope all is well with everyone!
