Best Weekend ....

Hello to all my Illinois family!  I just had to share my great weekend with you :)  This past weekend  I took my husband to The Dells for his 30th birthday!  It was awesome!  We stayed at the Kalahri Resort...during our stay I did every waterslide the Resort had to offer!  I love every minute of it!  I even went down the body slide that puts you into a funnel and then you drop out the bottom... my husband was to scared and wouldn't even try it.  I haven't been on a water slide in 150lbs or 15 years!  Yeah Gina :)

Also we did the sky coaster together .... which I never have been able to do before!  They put us in harnaces and than strapped us in and pulled us like 150feet in the air.  So we were looking at the ground almost perpendicular!  I was so scared and so excited proud at the same time.  Than they let us go....and boy did my husband scream!  hahah!  I did too but he was on girlish side! 

It is amazing how wonderful losing 150lbs can feel :)  Yeah to be on the LOSERS bench!  I hope everyone of you have an awesome experience like this :)

Great - as most know my DH and I love the Dells. I was raised (vacation time) up there thru my developing years. We are going up there for Wo-Zha-Wha Days in mid Sept. www.dells.com will give you the low down on what is happening.

ON all counts!  150 pounds is AMAZING!!!!!  It is great to hear from you and I am so glad that things are going so well.

Hi Gina,

What a great weekend!  We always to the Dells in Feb when we are SICK of winter, and this time we stayed at the Kalahari too.  We usually stayed at the Wilderness Lodge but decided to try another resort.  We loved it! 

When we were there in Feb this yr, I had just started my approval process and I am telling you that is the only way I made it thru the weekend.  I was so embarrassed to be there in a swim suit and for the first time noticed that there was a wt limit on the slides.  I had gained so much wt in a yr that the wt limit was always higher than me before.  We have a baby so I spent my time with her in the little kids area, she was 18 months at the time so she needed supervision and she loves the water.  I know people were trying to decide whether I was that overweight or pregnant.  I tried not to make eye contact with anyone due to my embarrassment.  All we talked about all weekend was how great it was going to be when we come back next yr. 

I know I wont be close to goal, but I will definitely be smaller and not so embarrassed to be there.  I love water slides and was not able to go on any last time.  I am sooo looking forward to it!

It is a great resort and we had a blast!  I also loved the pottery place- I took refuge there for a few hours and had a great time.
