Yeah I agree that I am probably most happy with Dr Wagner's staff at this point. I think I will be happy with him too, I have just had very limited interaction with him at this point. After reading other posts, I am glad I am going with him for one, b/c he does the fills, whereas in some clinics you get a tech or another DR. I prefer him to do them, so I think that is good.
Who are you going to for your Psych evaluation? Mine was no big deal... very simple. Have you told your Dr about needing additional documentation? My Dr was extremely receptive to put anything in her notes that Sara had requested be in there. There are certain phrases that Sara says is important, so those are the ones we tried to focus on. Like I said in my original post, I am not 100% approved yet, so I am still leary to say much about what has worked for me.
As far as scheduling my surgery. I am an accountant and can pretty much set my own schedule early fall, but come late fall/winter, there is no way I can do the surgery during tax season, so I am really pushing for a Sept/Oct surgery... I am REALLY hoping for Mid September. In some ways, the 6 months has flown by, but in others, it seems like forever waiting. But it has given me time to learn so much more about what to expect. I can't believe how many people do the surgery and then come to these forum and learn about the whole process after they have had surgery. Depending on your job, if you don't do lots of physical work, Sara thought I would be able to have surgery on a Thursday/Friday and go back to work on Mon/Tues. Maybe still sore and tired, but doable if need be. Personally, I think it would be easy to keep putting a date off for various reasons. I have a work conference in early Oct and I am little stressed about how I might handle a liquid diet/modified mushies, etc during that time when they have sit down luncheons...but I am NOT putting this off....as soon as I can get scheduled, we will most likely go for it.
I am getting pretty excited, I am just still kinda anxious about the whole insurance issue until I get that approval letter in hand, ya know? Hopefully within 2-3 weeks I will have some answers. Sorry I have written a novel.... Feel free to send me a personal message if you would like to. Good luck with everything.

It is a difficult process. Since you are an accountant, you are accustomed to keeping track of details :)
I don't feel like my PPC is doing much to supervise me. I am traumatized because I have lost the food journal I started keeping in May. That was my log of blood sugars and what I had to eat. I was counting on that documenting my story. I have managed to lose 20 lbs since my initial visit. I worry most about the preop proceedings. I have not asked much about that. I am afraid I will not do well with a liquid diet for 30 days.
Like you, I have a conference in December. I think I would like to schedule my surgery for December since the college I work at closes the week between Christmas/New Year's.
Thank you for your response. It is nice to have someone to compare notes with.
