Monday Roll Call

Good morning Illinoisans!

Yes it is Monday and I'm not looking forward to it either. I have a ton of work emails which all say "answer this now" and I have to teach this morning, so it will be a very hectic day. Perhaps the rain forecast will make it easier to be in the office--there will be no temptation to go outside and enjoy the weather.

Now that the traveling is over for about six weeks, I need to crack down on the food. I have followed my Nuts suggestions and they don't work, so back to listing my food on the computer. I will commit to this here, so check up on me.

Have a good day...I am changing my self talk to saying this will be a good day.

Nosey me.  What program are you using for listing your foods.  I use FitDay.  I have tried thedailyplate and spark people but found both harder than fitday.  I really need to learn .Net and create my own but it is a huge task and one I wish I could find someone willing to pay myself and a few other folks to build and maintain.

So you have been forgiven?

I use calorieking.com. IT is a program you have to pay for and download but I have used it for something like four or five years and you can add your own stuff to it. I think it was around $40 and five people can use it. Connie

For me none because my mind does not do well with numbers, lists etc. I just make sure that I eat slowly, protein first and keep to the recommended 1/2 cup or less that my doctor says we should stay with for a meal. I still even have trouble 5 years out getting in my 3 meals and 3 snacks a day.

Good Morning everyone!!

Well, today is my preschoolers first day of school! He is excited because he gets to see his little girlfriend! lol
We spent 4 hours outside yesterday with my oldest riding his 2 wheeler! I am so proud of him, I just can't believe how quickly he mastered it! He was flying around on his bike yesterday!

Depending on the rain, we are supposed to have soccer practice tonight, but I guess that is a wait and see thing right now. I know the boys both really need the practice, so I hope the rain holds out for them!

Have a wonderful day!

Good Morning, Today is another typical Monday. I am off to work in about 10 min, and I am just now trying to eat some breakfast.

Yesterday was a good day, got some small stuff done. Today
I am expecting a madhouse, hence the reason for the early leaving. Otherwise, all is well.

Hope the rain holds off until later this evening.

Hugs

Good Morning Illinois!

Well I started off the morning on a positive note!  I hopped on the scale and it is moving again.   I am 1 pound away from twoterville!  I can't wait.  Hope I can get there by my surgeon's appointment on Thursday.

We have a potluck at work today and I made that jello salad with mandarine oranges and cottage cheese that we had at our last meet and greet.  It tastes really good.  So I will have at least one dish I can eat.

The weekend flew by.  I wish they would slow down like the weeks do and the week would fly instead.  Cant have everything.  It was a beautiful weekend and I really enjoyed it.

Lisa, I really like your new picture!  Looks great.

Have a great week.

Mornining Nancy,
I briefly lived in Lasalle, back in 1991.  I loved it out there it is such a nice little town.  The people are so friendly ( I had to get used to people saying HI to me)  I lived on Tenth Street (I think it was 406 Tenth Street).  I didn't want to leave but work was hard to come by out there.  I always think maybe one day I will retire and live out there.

I really like it here.  I moved here 15 years ago.  I live up on Campbell street near Northwest school.  I love how friendly the people are and I have wonderful neighbors!  It is not a very great place for work.  I have had my job eliminated twice since I have been here and it is hard to find something professionally.  But at my age, I hate the thought of starting over someplace else.  I have a retirement income coming in so that does help supplement my regular job.  Come visit sometime!
