Friday Roll Call
Good morning friends!
Good luck Randy--you are up really early today and so am I. I have a 7AM meeting. That's just wrong for a Friday! Oh well, even though I am the chair of the meeting, it's a meeting, so I will be knitting! I started a miniature Christmas stocking last night to felt and I think they will take about an hour to knit so I can make a few for gifts.
We have a quiet weekend ahead--no plans yet, so that's OK.

We are having another grill-out here at work today. When the boss is away.......
We have a grill and a full kitchen here. I don't know WHY we don't grill once a week when the weather is good. My co-worker remembered that the grill was here yesterday so we all threw our money together and went to the store for sirloin steaks and salads. We also got brats and burgers for today, so lunch will be a treat.
David has a football game tonight and it looks like we are all able to attend, maybe even Amber & Riley. We couldn't ask for better weather!
We have a busy weekend ahead, but that is pretty typical for us. While LIv is at play rehearsal, I will be scouring the resale shops for dye-ables. The dyes will be here on Monday, and I will pick up the rest of the supplies soon.

It's Friday!
And, I get to leave work early today. 
I have been caught right at closing 3 days this week and have had to work late. Since my company does not like to pay overtime, they send you home early for the overtime. Not a bad way to start the weekend. I do have a class to teach tomorrow morning. It is local. I do wonder how many people will make it due to all the roads still being closed.
Lisa, I can sympathize with your long journey the other day. Traffic sounded like a nightmare on 39. The good news is the river is going down.
Randy, I wish you the best for this interview. Hope you get the job.

Work is very boring but yesterday the boredom ceased (for awhile anyway). I work in Bolingbrook and as I'm sure all of you heard on the news a small plane landed (crashed) at the intersection of Weber and Lily Cache. Which is right down the street from us. We could see it from our windows. Luckily no one died. But a plane crashing right outside of work has a way of exciting your day a little.

I am usually off on Fridays, but today I get to work a couple of special sites. We go to the high rises and make applications for those that cannot come to us. I have this for the next 3 to four weeks. The only bad thing is we do not have internet at these places, so everything is done by hand. The bosses have not given us wireless cards yet. Well, what can you do,
I work for non-profit.We are suppose to meet friends tonight for a Chinese buffet. I really don't think we will be going, since I am having a hard time keeping stuff down, Plus, for the little we eat, its very expensive.
Tomorrow evening we are going to our daughter's in Yorkville for a surprise birthday
party/BBQ for her fiancee.Sunday I intend to stay home and enjoy the last day of summer.

My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!
