Sunday Roll Call

Good morning everyone in Illini Land. Yes, and this fantastic weather is still here. I got a lot done in the house yesterday and am continuing today. I also saw my friend, her new baby and husband. What a cutie the baby is and he looks just like his daddy!

Well, more window washing for me today, few loads of wash and trips to the grocery and Sam's later.

I really did not sleep  well last night due to thinking about my niece's son's girlfriend. My nephew and girlfriend were supposed to be married yesterday or have the reception. I am not sure if they are married as she is also an expectant mommy. They called everyone on Friday and called off the reception. Come to find out the mommy/bride to be never sent out the invites, made arrangements for the food - anything! I feel so sorry for the mom of the groom, how embarassing for her.

Morning everyone

The first thing I did this morning was check my weight again to see if I REALLY lost 6 pounds...and sure enough I did.  Its not a mistake.  Yesterday I checked my weight for the first time since I start my 6 month doctor supervised diet.  So this morning I check the my weight again, just to make sure. 

YEAH for me!!!   

I talked to one of my daughter's friends yesterday and they are going to throw her a surprise birthday party.  She will turn 21 on October 10th.  AHHH where does the time go.  She was just a baby and now she'll be 21...

Big concert at Willow for all three services today.  They moved Satuday's afternoon service to this afternoon.  This made the harvest crew busy yesterday in prep and they will be busy today as well. 

I was able to carry a few computers around at Bright Hope yesterday and check them into the inventory process for repair.  Next Saturday hopefully I will be in shape to repair one or two.

I went to one place on Algonquin for the start of the game and to another in Elk Grove for the end after picking up DW at Willow since she stayed for an extra four hours doing prep.  She tired us both out.

For today I think I will settle for having watched the Hour of Power on the TV and I may watch last weekends message on my computer then last weeks from lifechurch.tv

It is hard to believe I have been out of the house doing things all day for three days this week.  A bit of home and computer time are in order for me.  It has made me confident though that WHEN I get THIS job it will be something I can do.  And I will do it just as well but fill better and better as time goes on over the next year.

Good Morning, How is everyone spending the "last " day of summer?

I have no plans except to do landry this morning and make a roast in the crock pot for dinner. I am sure things will come up to do. One thing I do know, my van is staying parked today. I need one day of  staying home. Another long work week looms ahead.

We spent the last day of summer hauling boxes to our storage unit-we will be moving in November as our complex was sold and the new owners are raising the rent   $270 a month.  Not in our budget at all-the old complex mgr. is now in Lombard and welcomed us w/open arms.  Same rent as now, 1st flr, bigger apt. and closer to work.  God closes a door and opens a window!!!  I'll be glad to go to work so I can rest-but the best thing is I couldn't have done near what I did today a year ago-I was tetherd to the O2 and alway short of breath.  How my health has improved is amazing.

Good morning to my Illinois friends! Glad the little storm that went over us yesterday only dropped a little rain. My walks already are wet from the week before rains. 
I did get the laundry caught up from where the basement was flooded last week. I have my appliances in the basement up 2 ft off the floor! As it floods every spring when we get the rains.
Today going to go grocery shopping, then vegetate the rest of the day. I will take my walk though!

Good morning Christine and Illinois!

I did get my 4th fill on Friday and I think I've got my old friend restriction back! I'm ready to start losing weight again. I'm tired of being on a plateau.

After the memorial service for my uncle yesterday we spent time with my cousins and other family members getting re-aquainted. My mother was one of ten and this family exploded with kids!

Later in the evening we checked out the new JC Penney and I did a little shopping....guess what....I bought an XL.... but not in the plus sizes.....the regular sizes.......I'm so excited.......yeah....woohoo! I don't have to shop in the plus sizes anymore.......I'm not too excited am I?

Christine, glad you enjoyed your visit with your friends and the new baby. As far as the nephew's girlfriend goes maybe she really doesn't want to get married...so didn't plan anything.  Nothing to  be embarassed about sometimes it's a blessing in disguise.

Thats a great feeling, to go down in sizes. I recently bought a size 1x and I thought that was great, now I think i could of used a xlarge too.
