Tuesday Roll Call
What a beautiful day we have instore! I didn't sleep much last night. Prior to going to bed, I had a couple of slices of corned beef and they came back on me. For the rest of the night I felt like there was still a blockage in my throat. I guess that will be off my list for a while. But I'm awake and my energy level is pretty okay for now. After work, we will go to vote and then I need to go to the massage school and do my enrollement forms for January (Hooray!!!). The nice part about going to the school is that I will get a massage while I'm there. My weight is still pretty much stuck at 198, but I'm not worried. Between Meredith's birthday party this last weekend, and my hectic schedule, I would actually be surprised if much came off. My goal is still 192 by Thanksgiving, and that's only 6 pounds one way or the other. Have a great day everybody!

Good morning Paul and Illinois
Paul, a massage at every class???? Where do I sign up?!!!! I love massages. I could have one every day and it would not be too often. Sometimes I wish I had never found out how great they feel.
It is going to be another beautiful day out there! I cannot believe we are having 70+ degree weather on November. I'll take it!
I plan to vote after work tonight. I was worried about the lines and wondering what would happen if you did not get through before the polls closed but did hear that as long as you are in line they have to let you vote. Now all I have to do is be able to stand in line. That in itself is a problem.
The time change is really throwing me off. It was strange to come home from work in the dark last night. It makes it seem like it is time to go to bed. It is dark when I wake up and dark when I get home. Oh well, I guess I am always in the dark.
I hope everyone gets an opportunity to escape outside some time today to enjoy this beautiful weather. Enjoy your day! And Vote.

Cat Lady
Hello everyone
I'm excited today. I will vote today after work and my friend who has never voted before will vote for the first time and then we are going out to eat to celebrate (and hope our guy wins). Either way we will be making history.
I slept last night with the pulse-ox machine. it wasn't so bad. I slept throught the night with that stupid contraption taped to my finger. Hopefully it will show I don't have sleep apnea. My fingers are crossed.
Paul-
Massages look wonderful but I'm super ticklish so the one time I tried to sit for one all I did was squirm and afterwards I was sore. The lady said it was because I squirmed. I say it was because she was pressing way to hard. At times it hurt when she was massaging me.
Well I hope everyone goes and votes and enjoys the wonderful weather. Have a nice day.

Although I'm at the begining stages of my training and eventual licensing, I've done massage for over 30 years as an amature. I can say with absolute surity that the woman who did your massage was not tuning into your needs. Different people need different levels of pressure and areas of touch for the very reasons that you described. Later, when I'm at the point of starting to give massage for practice in my studies, we can talk and I would be more than willing to show you how proper massage for you, would work. Hang in there, I'll be ready before you know it!
Good morning Paul and Illinois. What a beautiful day for an election. DH and I already did the early vote, so we can sit back and relax today. I do have a doctor's appointment, and will post what he says when I get back.
Paul, free massages at the next get together?....lol Just kidding. Corned beef hates me, at two years out from RNY, I still can't eat it.
Nancy, I agree, the time has me all screwed up, and I don't work...lol I just can't get use to it.
Everyone have a great day, and get out there and VOTE!
Blessings,
Dee

Good Morning Paul, Nancy and the whole of Illinois.
It is a beautiful day out today. No excuses not to go and vote. I was going to go this morning, but decided to wait for Hubert and go after work. I know there wll not be a line, as there is only around 350 in our precint.
Have I missed something? Where is Christine?
I missed roll call yesterday, as I predicted, i was super busy at work yesterday, and the rest of the week doesn't look any better.
Paul, you have been doing great, I sure wouldn't worry about the 6 lbs you want to lose by Turkey Day. It will come off at its own speed.
Gotta head out the door. BTW, I just tried SF instant apple cider, not to sure about it, there is an aftertaste.
Hugs

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!
Good morning Paul and the rest of Illinois!
It does look like a beautiful day, today and tomorrow, at least. Sorry to hear about the corned beef. I don't know what it is about that, but I have heard of others having big problems with it. I, on the other hand can eat most anything, and corned beef went down great at St. Patty's Day. I hope the energy fairy visits you later on today.
I am looking forward to the Cheech & Chong concert on Saturday, I hope the weather holds out.
I voted this morning. I was the first person to the polling place at 5:50, but as I was waiting for them to open, two other ladies got in line before me. That's OK, I still got it done. I think there will be a great turn out for this election, maybe historical in itself. Usually, when I have gone to vote since we've been in Rock City, the place is deader than a doornail. This morning, there was a line out the door and I'll bet 30 or more people were waiting! I'm glad that the election has at the very least inspired people to vote, that is the only way the system will truly work.
Liv was doing pretty good last night. Most of the kids at school were concerned, not teasing. The one girl (bully) that we KNEW would give her a hard time did, as expected. I told Liv not to take any crap from her and to have the principal call me if it continues.
I will be calling the pastor from that church today to speak with him about his choice of viewing material. The good news is that it wasn't the whole movie, just images of the crucifixion in a music video. I am grateful that she was not exposed to the whole movie as just these images are unsettling enough.
She feels much better after hearing how these images have affected other people, including adults and the counselor said that it was natural to have the extreme reaction to such a stressor. We are going to keep an eye on her and give her lots of love and hugs.
Today is Taco Tuesday, so I may join the family downtown for my special blend of beans, meat, cheese, tomatoes and lettuce.
I wish everyone a lovely, beautiful, warm day!

I have to say that when I went to see the movie I cried and not just a little. Your daughter is young and if she is sensitive and spiritual I can see why she would get upset. When I was watching the movie I felt as if I was there in person as Jesus was getting nailed to the cross. My friend who came with me ran out of the theater because she just couldn'****ch any more.
