Good Morning Illinois,

I love Disney. we have been there a few times, but not in the last few years. DH thinks if you go someplace once or twice, you don't need to go back.

It seems everyone has plans for today. Mine is to go to work. Hopefully not a really busy day. Thursday I went in at 7:30 and got home at 5:30. Much to long to be  dealing with people.

Yesterday I went to Target, while DH went to Home Depot. All I need to get for Xmas now is gift cards and the Xmas eve food.

Eileen, that mock mac and cheese is fast and delicious. The only chage I will make the next time is use alot more  cheddar cheese.

Hugs

Good Morning my IL family
Eileen, I am so glad that the support group helped you.  this was my first "real" one that I went to and I will keep going. It was good for my head too!   Anytime you need/want to talk, just let me know sweetie, I am home all day most days!

Today I have to run to the bank and stop at the store. Other than that, I need to stay warm..good luck with that one. I bought some long underwear yesterday and will be putting that on! lol   My darling husband thinks it's okay to have the house at 65 degrees, knowing that I am always freezing and it's normally on 68....well we had a slight disagreement about that.  I told him he needs to stop wearing his long johns in the house if he's that hot...I have them on, and multiple layers and I am still freezing!  oh well.

I have to pick up Tyler later from wrestling practice and make dinner.
other than that I will work on homework and play on pogo.  Hey if anyone else plays pogo...let me know...my name is the same...mrsgerz.  look me up!  I am addicted to that site!

Have a wonderful day everyone and try to stay warm!!

Monica

Good Morning   Eileen, and the rest of my IL family,
Eileen I have never been to Disney but it does sound like a good time,
For me today not much just cleaning the house and laundry, and tonight to the support meeting,
hope everyone has a good day, and try to stay warm it is a cold one again today.

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

Good morning Eileen and Illinois!

I haven't been outside yet but the snow on the cars makes me feel cold.....bbbrrrrrrr.........today I must go to Hobby Lobby and look for Christmas bushes to put in the planters outside. I  don't want to look at dirt all winter long.....hhhmmmm.......maybe poinsettias.........I'll have to see....

Disney sounds soooooo nice right now....we haven't been there in years.......like 20 years.....I'm sure it has changed a lot in that amount of time.................but I was thinking about the warmth.........

I never liked to ezercise before either.....now  I go three times a week and actually enjoy it....I missed it while at my daughter's house.

Well keep warm everyone and keep safe!

I am down to 1 shot of insulin aday and 2 pills a day for the diabetes and I think I will soon be able to stop the insulin. Thanks to all who have been so supportive it's awesome to be able to chat with others who have been down the same road as you and here about their success.

Good morning all:

Just a quick fly by for me as I need to get up to the hospital.

Long story short----our little dog Max scratched Riley on Saturday night on her cheek (face).  She had a bad reaction, or infection, or something, and that side of her face swelled up and her eye got really puffy.  Amber called the doctor and he wanted to look at it, so she took her to the ER and the baby was admitted for IV antibiotic treatment last night.

I need to get over there so that Amber can go home, shower, change and prepare for a hospital stay.  I feel AWFUL!  I know that none of this is my fault, and things happen to kids, but that does not make me feel any better at the moment.

Say a prayer  and send good energy to us......................

Dawn -
((Hugs)) to you, Riley and the family.  As you said, you have no control over those kind of things but I too would be feeling bad.  Hang in there and try not to stress over it.  Saying prayers and good thoughts for a quick recovery for little Miss Riley.

Dawn, you are a grandma, don't we always feel bad when something happens to our babies? You will be fine.

Thank you LIsa and Christina for the support.

It just got worse!   In September, I had a boil.  The doctor gave me an antibiotic and it went away.  It came back a couple of weeks ago and she treated me with another round of antibiotics and cream.  It has gone down to almost nothing, it is just a small, hard nodule right now.

When Riley was in the ER, the doctor's asked if my boil had been tested for MRSA.  Amber did not know.

I was on my way to the hospital just now and decided to call my doctor and find out about the test on the boil.  The nurse looked it up and said, "Yes, you had MRSA.  The hospital will not want you to go visit your grand daughter."

WHAT!!!!!!  HOW COULD THEY NOT TELL ME THAT???????  They never told me that I had MRSA the first time, and she did not mention it this second time!  I am FREAKING OUT!!!!!
Do I still have it???  Am I contagious????  What about my family????  David has a big cut on his hand right now!!!!

I guess I will know more when Riley's tests come back, but in the mean time, I am freaking out and very sad.

Thanks for listening!

I'm sorry to hear about all of your problems right now.  MRSA is scary stuff.  I think your doctor really dropped the ball not telling you about this.  I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
