Sunday Roll Call - Let it Snow

Goodmorning everyone,

We have snow on the ground, probably about an inch.  Normally it wouldn't bother me, but my son has to drive back to Macomb today--

Thanksgiving went o.k., feels great that I was in control of what I was eating--I like that.

I had to go to Springfield Friday to have my 3 month labs done--didn't think about it being "Black Friday,"  the traffic was terrible--I am anxious to know what my lab results are, I will find out Friday when I see my surgeon.

Yesterday was not a good day for me--I felt terrible.  Body aches, no energy, etc....didn't do much, stayed at home, hibernated.  Today, though, so far ; so good.

Everyone have a good day, stay warm.

I read snacks as slacks.   I thought that must be a huge commute.

Good morning all,

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving.  I took a nap while my family ate.  Today I am running to the store to pickup a few things I need to take to the hospital and pack my bag.  I have to work tomorrow so I need to get it done today.  I am so excited my surgery is Tuesday morning!!  Any suggestions on what to bring to the hospital?  I would appreciate any input.

Have a great day,
Michelle

Hi

My must haves for the hospital were:

Ear plugs (hospitals are very noisy), chapstick, sugar free gum (if your surgeon ok's it it will be a godsend because you cant drink fluids right away), slip on slippers, sports bra for coming home, pillow, mp player, crossword puzzle book; book to read; nail file (if you ever break a nail and dont have a file it will drive you bonkers), pad of paper and pen to write down instructions, underwear, and loose fitting clothes for the ride home.

Good luck and enjoy this awesome journey!!!

Good morning! We don't have much snow yet in Rockford, just a dusting although it has been coming down like a Christmas globe. It doesn't seem to stick yet. I kind of enjoy it right now, but i don't have to go out till tomorrow.

I think we have almost finished the decorating. Kay has been working on the mantel--always a project since it is too narrow for regular mantel stuff. Later today we are having a friend over to teach her how to make baskets. I'm looking forward to that!

It's been a nice holiday with not much stress (except the dog show) and now I've almost finished my Christmas projects and can knit for me. I have a green sweater called to me.

Have a great day and stay warm!

Good Morning my IL family,

It snowed/flurried for about 1/2 hour and now nothing.  Just enough to make it muddy out for the dogs..lol

I hope it doesn't get too bad though because I have to go out later and pick up my boys from their dad's.  Both of them are sick.  Tyler's started on Saturday with a sore throat and head cold and yesterday I talked to Jacob and he's got the same thing but also his stomach is giving him problems.  He's my mama's boy so he wants to come home early, but they are celebrating Thanksgiving with their dad's side today.

Tyler had his first wrestling meet yesterday and even though he didn't feel good, I think he did well.  He didn't get a pin, but he also didn't get pinned.  It was a stalemate but the other guy got more points so he won.  Today, Tyler's shoulder is hurting pretty bad.  I gotta be honest with you all, I don't think I like the sport of wrestling.  It's very hard for me, as a mom, to sit back and watch my son get twisted and pulled in all directions.  lol  oh well, better get used to it, he's got 2 meets this week alone.

I am doing nothing today, just relaxing and enjoying the quiet here.  I might do some cleaning, not sure yet..lol

I hope everyone has a great day and please stay safe and warm!

Monica
