Good morning Nancy and Illinois!

The first snow this morning is beautiful. I love how it looks.
Not much on the agenda today except laundry. Those dirty little gremlins are back. I wish they did the laundry instead of leaving it here for me to do.

Hope everyone drives safely today. Keep warm!

Good morning everyone!

I haven't popped by in a while. so i will catch everyone up on whats happening for me. I gained 2 pounds at my last dr appointment which caused me to re think about submitting, so instead of submitting last month i will submit in december which will hopefully go well. More excersize, and following the diet the best that i can. Last month i started freaking out about food i will never be able to eat again and ate everything i could think of. which is most likely where the extra 2 pounds came from.
It's snowy out in Lake in the hills today. Snow is beautiful until you have to drive in it. I am a fan of looking not touching. Especially with a toddler, he freaks out when he touches ice cream, snow isn't really gonna be much fun for him.
Hope everyone is well and bundled up!!

Good morining Nancy and the rest of Illinois!

The snow here looks nice, but it was hard to drive in last night coming home from Rockford.  Liv and I saw a car that had gone off the road out in the country and it looked like they swiped a telephone pole and took off their passenger door.  Driving in this morning was easy compared.

I wound up helping to decorate the theater both Saturday and yesterday and we have some finishing touches to do on Thursday.   It was heartbreaking to see how "dumpy" the theater looked after being left empty for so long.  We really spruced it up with Christmas lights everywhere, two trees and lots of bric-a-brac.

Liv was excited to gat to practice in a real theater under the lights, and they all even got to use microphones yesterday!  We are having a lot of fun with this and it will be over all too soon.  Final dress rehearsal is Thursday, then the shows are Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Not much else going on for me except for work today.

I am wishing an uneventful surgery and speedy recovery for Michelle tomorrow.

I hope everyone stays safe and warm.

Tell someone that you love them!

Good morning! I am still trying to recollect myself after the morning bus run! Let me tell ya 74 was nasty. I hit blac**** started a small fish tail then got in about 5 large one from one side to the other, to a side slide, to going backwards ,to a dead stop. It was just my 6 yr old gr-son and me. I just told him to sit down and close his eyes and then I prayed. If I had hit the grass center we would have landed on the side of the bus with the door to the ground. After coming to a stop I said a big thank you to God, then sat there for a few seconds, wanting to cry.  I have been driving a Bus since 1991 and this was a first for me. There were about 15 cars in the ditch along that area just right after where I stopped. So I am lucky! Then when I was coming up the biggest hill we have in our area there was a car in the ditch wedged between 2 trees, and a small s10 truck stuck under one of our buses! So we sat there for 20 min.

We got to school safe but I am still shacking. My band is so tight that I feel like I am choking on my spit. My port area kind hurts too maybe the stop on 74 was a little hard. I see Dr Rosen on Thursday and if it still bothers me Ill have him take a look!

Well that's my day so far hope the rest just slide by!! LOL

After a week off of work (I work at a school), it was back to work today.  Between working with students, I made some phone calls to try to deal with some things that are related to my upcoming surgery.  I also started filling out the paperwork needed to request medical leave of absence from the school district.  I just need Dr. Rosen to fill out his portion of the paperwork and then I can submit it to the district.

I've been trying a liquid diet today.  I had some low-carb Slim-Fast.  It always makes me want something salty soon after.  I had some buillion after getting home.  I didn't have any available at work to drink.

Driving this morning was slow.  It was pretty along Rt 25 north of St. Charles.  Coming home was much better.

I was glad the garbage cans didn't blow away today.  I hate having to chase them down.

I hope all of you are well.
