Good morning Lucy! Glad to see you are posting again...don't worry about what other people think of you, I like you just the way you are! We have to like ourselves before others can like us. Sorry that your mother is soo hurtful in the things she says.  I've missed your posts....and Pams too!  I too struggle with the weight loss. I had been plateaued for 3.5 months and am finally starting to lose again. Whatever happened to loosing a pound every three days? It seems to have deserted me. Like Connie I'm in a better place than I was at this time last year and hope to be in an even better place next year. Keep coming here, we miss you and are here to help. We are in this together. We are here to support each other on this incredible journey.

Hi Carol. I try to tell myself that things will be better next year.

I can only do the best I can. I'm sort of glad my mom is going west for the winter months. I think some distance is the best medicine for me right now.

Thanks for your support and reassuring words. It means a lot to me!

Hugs,
Lucy

Good morning Dawn.

Thank you for your support here and always. I hate to say it, but I am looking forward to the distancing between me and Mom. I need to recover from her words.

Love you too!

Lucy, take out that before picture, the one with dark hair, and put it next to your current picture. Now, tell me which looks better.

Lucy -
Big Hugs to you my friend.  Hang in there.  Times are so hard for so many right now.  Trust me, I know about the financial woes and the gaining weight woes and so on.  It's a struggle every day.
This board is what keeps me grounded.
When you are down, write down five things you are grateful for.

I'm glad you posted and hope you pop in often.  We need your support just as much as you need us.
Love ya girl!

Hi Christina. Yes, I would have never thought about struggling so much two years ago. I was looking forward to my body and thigh lift. I was so happy then. Everything looked bright in my future.

Thanks for the suggestion about writing down 5 things I am thankful for.

I'm going to give it my all to pop in.

Love you too.

Hugs,
Lucy

Hi Lucy! Sorry about all the things in your life being so bad!
I understand the MOM thing. Mine has been so critical for so long that I try to just ignore her. She just the other day gave me a pair of pants that she said should fit me good, I checked the size and I almost cried, I didn't though. I sucked it up and looked at her and said yes they will fit OK but who do I put in the other leg! They were a size 24, I am in 10 to 8 and she knows this. She just can't take that I am smaller then her now! I love her but she hurts me at any opportunity she can! So do like I do let what she says go in one ear out the other and then it gets easier!
No for the weight when you get the stress under control and this is hard when its financial wows, the weight will come off again really. Mine weight is stuck at the same for about 4 months now. I just figured it will come off if OI keep up the hard work and not give up like I would have before WLS.
Smile and keep plugging along! I send a prayer your way too!

Karen

Hi Karen. Yikes, I read your post about sliding with the bus this morning. That must have been very scary. I'm happy that you and the kids are OK.

Thanks for your supportive message and prayer. I sure need it!

Hugs,
Lucy
