What does Christmas mean to you?
To Dave and I it is the celebration and remembrance of our Lord and Savior's birth. Not only is He the Reason for the Season He also gives us a purpose for life. We both have a lot of fond memories of Christmas in our youth and also in our married life. I pity people that have dysfunctional families that do not celebrate this time to the fullest. I work with a girl that had that kind of a childhood and still into her married life. It is like she is in bondage because of it; there is no joy for her. When Christmas comes around in December we are also reminded that later in the spring we also celebrate Christ's dying on the cross for our sins so we can have everlasting life with Him if we have asked Him into our heart.
These two go hand in hand together.

I do keep in mind why we're celebrating Christmas, but it also means spending time with family I don't see very often. It means spoiling my daughter once a year with tons of presents. It means spending Christmas the way I always wanted to growing up, with a tree and decorations and presents. It means helping those less fortunate. It means peace on earth goodwill to man. Its the one day a year I love snow.
Thanks Jeasus for having such a wonderful birthday.
