Monday Funday Roll Call
Fronteir Grill is the restaurant that is owned by Rick Bailess
Thanks Paul and all the others. I really enjoy Rick Bailess' programs on WTTW and would love to try his food. That taste I am looking far though may not be there as his dishes seem to be more the authentic conflagration of many hispanic cultures rather than this odd thing that I guess is unique to Texas called Tex-Mex.

To correct both of us we should have written Frontera Grill and Rick Bayless. The Frontera has great reviews while I saw one bad review for it's sister, Topolobampo. The reviewer seemed to be looking for the same things I am looking for and was disappointed. Again nothing against good Spanish, Basque or Mexican food just I am looking for Tex-Mex.
Good morning everybody!
What a change in the weather! I decided to wait until today to get out and do some shopping because of the wind and rain yesterday, but I think this freezing cold may be worse! I just need to get out and move around. I am going to the mall to walk a bit and do some shopping. I need to get a change in scenery and some fresh air. I hope everyone is having a good day.
Isle, I agree with Nancy as far as what to take to the hospital. Everything she said I pretty much needed or used. I was grateful for my headphones. My room mate had quite a few visitors that were a bit loud and I was able to just put on my ipod and tune them out. I even used the nail file! It was nice meeting you at Dr. R's office last week.
I am feeling so much better everyday. I feel like my oldself today, only better lol.
Have a great day and stay warm,
Michelle

Hi all,
Yes it was nasty getting out this morning but happily I still made it to the gym and to work on time even with a half an hour of scraping the windows.
On taking things to the hospital, I agree you won't need half of what you take but the lip balm is a must as is some lotion. I know this is kind of goofy but I took a sleep mask. I can't stand light and I would put it on and nap all day, but then I was kind of out of it. I must have looked a sight with my sleep mask and my cpap. Best wishes on you surgery.
I think I'm experiencing transference in the form of needing to feed everyone around me. I made fudge over the weekend, cherry pie, and cookie dough. I plan to use the fudge as a gift. I found myself having a problem with some chex mix so I dumped it into a bowl my DH had distroyed with powdered sugar. Temptation fixed. I won't touch sugar as I had dumping syndrome with cranberry sauce and don't want to spend the rest of the day in bed.
I finally moved to soft food yesterday. My little stomach wasn't sure it was too happy with this new texture but by dinner the talapia sure tasted good along with the soft cooked veggys. I still have some baby food to finish but I'm so happy to get a little more texture.
Hope your all staying warm, are ready to face your holiday temptations and done with what ever preparations you need to make.
