Good morning everyone!

This afternoon I have an appointment with Dr. Rosen.  I am not looking forward to the drive to Downers Grove.  I guess better today than tomorrow by the way it sounds.  It will be a quick visit.  I did go to target yesterday and managed to get there and home before it got too bad out.  It started snowing while I was in the store and was pretty slippery on the drive home.  I slipped and fell in my driveway on the way to the car!  I landed on my right hip/butt and right arm.  I am just glad I was able to brace my fall.

I hope you are ok.  Is your incision alright? 

Thankfully my incisions are ok.  I manged to brace my fall pretty good.  My right hip and right arm are sore but that is it.  I am such am such a klutz!

Good morning everyone

I can't believe how cold I am--last year at this time I wasn't even wearing a coat--just a sweat shirt.  Now, I wear a winter coat, sweat shirt/pants, thermal under garments, several pairs of socks, etc....  I cannot get warm. 

My son is coming home for his Christmas break tomorrow.  We are keeping an eye on the weather--we are supposed to have freezing rain here in central Illinois tomorrow--yuk.  I am not sure about the weather in Macomb. 

I have a doctor appointment this afternoon, or I wouldn't go out of the house until spring time.....

What school does your son go to?  I will be in the central Illinois area Friday to pick up my daughter from U of I.

My son goes to Western Illinois University in Macomb.  We live in Decatur.  Starting tomorrow, we are to have freezing rain into Friday morning.   Be careful driving Friday to Champaign--according to our weather guy, the roads will be slick.  I would think that the interstate wouldn't be really bad during the day--unless we get really bad ice.  The side roads could be terrible, though. 

Our problem is there are no interstates between here and Macomb--all two lane roads, out in the middle of nowhere.  We always laugh and say "you can't get there from here."

Good Afternoon Everyone, I am mostly a lurker on here but I just noticed finally someone with the same surgeion as I and from central Il so had to comment.  :-) Hi!  Wilteringrose  I have been approved for lapband w/Dr. Hammer dont have a date yet.  Have you been happy with everything there so far?  Everyone I know from work seems to go to clinton. 

Dr. Hammer is great.  He never runs on time, but I figure if he spends as much time with other patients as he does with me, no wonder.   I have been really satisfied with the whole bariatric program through Memorial in Springfield.  They have a great program--it includes the whole package from psychology, nutrition, and a great follow up plan.  I looked into the program at Clinton--they didn't offer RNY which is what I wanted; plus I went to high school with the doc...way to weird for me.    Feel free to PM me if you have any questions or concerns. 

I would say good morning, but nothing good about it.  Tinker is sick again, and my heart is breaking.  She is so young to be so sick.  I know, it is not a human, but I love my dogs.
