Anyone have a revision with Dr. Chua?
I have never heard of him/her before, so I looked into him a little and saw he is in Milwaukee. And his OH profile says he has only done one DS-related surgery (but I'd want more/current info on that, as he calls it a BPD-DS, which is a dangerous, old surgery that is no longer done in the US, so maybe they are calling it the wrong thing).
As you probably know, a revision to a DS is just about the most complicated bariatric surgery out there, even more complicated than a virgin DS. You need an expert who can get in there, through possible adhesions and any other carnage left behind from your previous surgery, and try and make your possibly-atrophied pyloric valve work again. It's a big deal. Not everyone can do it.
Please go with a DS revision expert. Here is a list of DS surgeons who have been vetted:

This list is good, but even these people won't all do revisions--it's THAT complicated a surgery. If you are in Illinois, my surgeon, John Rabkin, comes to town from San Francisco monthly to do a free info session for prospective patients and our support group meeting. He is one of the very best revision docs on the planet. The next meeting is January 19, from 6-8 p.m. at the Union League Club at 65 W. Jackson, Chicago. PM me for more info, if you like. His site is www.paclap.com.
There are a few others who will do revisions, but I don't think the one Illinois DS practice (U of C, Dr. Prachand) does them, but you'd have to check. A few of the other California docs do them (Dr. Kesheshian), as does one *****located to Kentucky (Dr. Husted) and one *****located to Florida (Dr. Gagner). I know there are a few more, but I don't know them offhand.
Please visit the revision board here on OH as well as the DS board and lurk or ask questions. I know lots of people there would love to help you out with info.
Good luck!
