Monday Roll Call

Good afternoon everyone,

I too am glad the holidays are over...things are slowly getting back to normal.  All of the Christmas decorations are down and put away. 

My son is home from college.....aaaaaaahhhhhhhh--I am going to pull out what is left of my gastric bypass induced thinning hair....Not only was he talking about changing majors again..but changing schools.  (He is officially a senior now)  We had to sit him down this weekend and tell him he needs to finish what he has started....I know this is supposed to be the time where he figures things out, but our wallets can only take so much...(this is his 3rd major)... 

My cat, Furbus, has been sick...I took him to the vets--he is in the beginning stages of feline kidney disease.   Breaks my heart.   He turned 13 on January 1st.  We changed his diet...we will monitor his bun and creatin levels, and make sure he doesn't dehydrate....but I know this is not a curable disease--we can only keep him comfortable. 

On a good note---I beat my husband bowling.  I love to bowl--but not on a league (too much pressure).  It is strange....since I have lost weight, I have basically had to learn to bowl all over again (for me it is a balance thing.)  I need to have my ball redrilled--it is strange where you lose weight--my fingers are about two sizes smaller.  I can't even wear my wedding rings right now.  I think I am going to just ask for a new ball this spring for mother's day....I would rather have that than jewerly or flowers....

Well, that is it.  I know I don't check in everyday--will try to do better this year.

Hi teri sorry to hear about your cat. I also have a cat - Tiger- and she hasn't ate nothing in 5 days just a little water. She is 13 1/2 years old. I think she is just to old and will pass soon. My daughter is having a fit. I wanted to take her in to the vets and have her put to sleep, but daughter want let me, I hope the cat isn't suffering. it is so hard to let them go when we had them for so long.

Hi All,
Well I went to the Oncologist today. They still dont have the 2nd opinion back from the Pathology but they are going to treat my Thyroid cancer with a radiation Pill. I have to take the pill then go into the hospital for 3 to 4 days. they are waiting for my numbers to deplete from my TSH.
the Doc said it will probably be within 2 to 3 weeks.
He also told me not to worry about working for about 6 to 8 weeks more.
So my trip to Denver ois on hold till the end of next month.
Ill keep everyone posted.
