Hanging out today and feeling rough but not as rough as yesterday,  I need more days like Tuesday to get in shape for getting back to work which I expect to happen when i get back around four hundred even despite the downturn.

At work today...grant writing and working on my 6th grade presentations...fun.

Paul - I know what it feels like to be laid off and send resumes and not even get a nibble...all I can say is that there is a plan out there, we just are not privy to it.

I had my 1 month (even though it is 2 for me) Nutrition & Exercise class yesterday.  It was just what was in the manual - duh!  And people kept asking questions about stuff that she just said, or if they just read the book they would know.  I felt like I was in a room with children.  I don't understand spending that much money on something and not knowing EVERYTHING you can do to help it be successful.  One women actually said, "you mean you can drink pop?" And when the teacher said "Only one shake a day in place of a meal" Another women said, "I have mine for a snack, is that ok?" The teacher said 'no' and then the women rattled off the nutrients and said something like, 'that's ok right?' UMMMM, she just said, just for a meal replacement!  I can't stand that...what are you doing here if you aren't going to listen?  Sorry for ranting - I just get really peeved when I have to take 4 hours off of work to go to a meeting that wastes my time.

On a good note - I have lost 51 lbs and Dr. says everything looks great and I am doing really well.

I'm right there with ya Natalie!

I am always AMAZED at how some people do not really take this surgery seriously.
At the last surgeon's support group that I attended, we spent LOTS of time with one particular lady asking all kinds of kind of crazy questions.  She was saying, "can I eat cheese?  I am addicted to cheese and I can't live without it....."  Now, chesse is not the worst thing to have post-op, but my goodness!  If you are not willing to sacrifice to be healthy, do you REALLY think that this "tool" will work for you?  Too much af ANYthing is not good.

Congrats on the 51 pounds in 2 months!  That is AWESOME!  Keep up the great work!

Good Morning,
This morning I am greatful for my daughter that just brings me so much joy.  Also, for my health and friends.  I'm greatful that I got to spend the day with my dad and laugh and cry with him.  He really helped us out yesterday at school stuffing fundraising envelopes.  I have to start losing this weight....it's so frustruating.  I need a tummy tuck like you wouldn'e believe!  Ryan alway's say's to me "I wouldn't leave you hangen hun!"  hahaha  I want to smack him some times.  I hope everyone finds jobs....I'm suprised my mom still has her job.  She's been with At&t for 35 year. And works from home.  Everyone have a good day.

Dave, you are so sweet for doing that to the girls.  There are still nice guys out there!!!!  Did you grow up in Sycamore?  My dad did and he went to highschool there.  He was born at Sycamore hospital that's now Kindred.  By the way is the WORST place in the world!!!  I love the small town!

Good morning Paul and the rest of Illinois!

Hang in there Paul, when school starts, I'm sure you will feel a bit better and you will be grateful for the time to do homework and such.  Try to enjoy this time with your children as they are not small for very long and you can never replace these times.  Although my check is hurting with the shorter hours, I am really enjoying spending more time with Liv and David.  In just a few short years, they will be at the age where they won't have time for me, so I am taking this as the bright side.

Today, besides working, I am setting Liv and I up to be volunteers at the Pec Playhouse.  True to form, that teacher at their school that HATES me (and discriminated against David) has decided to make Liv pay too.  Liv is the only kid in the Drama Club that auditioned for this year's musical that was not given a part.  We were pretty sure that she would do this so we are not surprised.  It is really too bad that the administration allows such a person to be near our children.  Liv and I are now putting "Plan B" into action.  We have contacted all the area theater programs to find other opportunities for Liv to pursue her love of theater.  She says that when she accepts her first Tony Award, she will thank this teacher in her speech for discriminating against her so that she could pursue better opportunities.  I just hope the B**** is still alive to see it.  The sad fact is that this teacher is SO clueless, she would not get the irony, and take it as a compliment.

So, after work, I need to make that stop at Wally World that I've been talking about all week, home to the bike, pack for tomorrow night, then Liv and I have been invited to the preview of the new play in Pec.  Busy, busy, busy.........

Everyone have an absolutely splendid day!

Dawn,

I know it is a million miles away, but I did some work with the Woodstock Musical Theater group and it was incredible.  One of the best I've ever seen.  We did Shakespare, but that is not the norm.  They almost always do musicals.  There is a sister company called Town square Players and they alternate shows.  The Woodstock Opera House is one of the finest in the world and it is a terrific training ground for an aspiring "Tony Winning" actress like Liv.

I will let her know about your compliment, and we may check into it for something to do in the summer.  Most of the companies have youth summer programs.

Good morning everyone,

Just checking in, trying to stay current with all that is going on here.

I am fighting a cold/sinus thing and the kids both have drippy noses and coughs.  Jeff is working like a fiend, he is a CPA, and it is tax season so we hardly see him.

I am still working on a plan for Noah, fighting with insurance, what a surprise, just like we all had to fight for our surgeries, now I have to fight to get Noah the care he deserves.  UGH!!!

I finally hit the 81 pounds gone forever mark, and hope the scale keeps moving in the right direction.  WIth my cold, I dont feel like eating much, so when I do eat, I stick to the proteins and drink lots cause I am always thirsty.

Paul, I think about you everday and pray that you get responses from your resume soon!

Lucy, Have a great time in CA!  Bring back some sunshine.

Dawn, I hope that Liv finds a place for her talent and i cant wait to see her on TV telling that teacher off!!  How rude!

Crystal, My thoughts and prayers are with you!

Dave, you are a nice guy, the girls will feel special, and that is nice.

Janet, Im so glad you got your drains out, and are feeling better!  So tell us, how does it feel now?  Are you glad you did it?  If you are thinking about your arms, you must be happy with the results.

I know I missed some, sorry, my memory has been sucked out by a 10 yr old and a 2 yr old!

I hope everyone has a great day, and hopefully I will see you all here tomorrow!
