Hi all just poting so everyone can see.Im in Southwest burbs of Chicago about 30 mins from both Morris and Itasca I have a date for surgery April 7th I guess im in that scared mode now I ak fo rprayers and maybe a kind word

Hello, I am in the western 'burbs near O'Hare in Itasca. Born, raised and stayed and work for the village also. Where are you at in Chicago? Many of the members are in and around the Chicago area with a few being in the Rockford, Central IL and then down near St Louis areas. I think that I covered where everyone is at in a nutshell. There is to be a get together on March 7th in Elgin if you are interested. Just to be clear..are you getting the VBG (vertical banded gastroplasty) or something else?

I am getting the gastric sleeve.It was changed from lapband to sleeve from my ins company,which has me freaking out big time

OK--you had me worried because the VGB (listed on your type of surgery) really should NOT be done anymore!

If you haven't been there yet, the VSG board here on OH is full of good folks happy to share their experiences, too.
