Morning all. I am up but the ole brain does not say I am up. I need to be out the door here in a short while to take Dave to O'Hare as he is off to Providence, RI and then up into MA to meet with a customer with his boss.

Into work after that. My boss did not go yesterday but will be gone today, yeah. We can all hear him coming now into our room because he broke is foot and is on crutches. And oh darn he has to take the elevator now. He distains anyone that uses the elevator and he would disconnect it if he could. He is the budget and equipment person in the department and is cheap and does not like to spend money.

Morning Christine,

Me thinks you are still not very awake, This is Wed, not Tues. Not that it really matters, the way the days fly by.

I would love to being as close as you are to O'Hare. Whenever we need to go there, it sometimes takes longer then the flight itself.

Dh got our apartment rented last night. This is a good thing, other then now he is in a rush to fini**** Its only been being redecorated since June of 08. And of course, now I have to go to wally world for blinds and a few other stops for him after work. I have decided that the next time any of the rentals are open and need things done I am hiring it done!

Other then that, nothing but work today, and we will be going out for dinner.

Stay warm and safe today.

Hugs,

LISA

Fixed and you were correct  I was not awake.

No, you would not want to live this close to O'Hare. The noise is horrible, Richie Daley is a bully, more runways are coming = more noise and there will not be an easy way to drive around to get to the airport because the bully above (whom I am sure has some federal judges in this back pockets)  gobbled up the land for the new runways and is going to close down Irving Park Rd near Mannheim. There I said my peace. The western 'burbs around O'Hare highly despise Richie.

Good morning Christine and Lisa and everyone still warm in bed,

I could not sleep so I got to work at 6:15.  It is a much quicker ride at that time.  It is really windy out this morning.  I would not be surprised if people did not start getting sick with all the temperature changes.  I have paperwork to do this morning and a meeting besides being with my students.

I am taking 43 students to Washington D.C. on the 21st to the 24th so i am trying to tie up all the loose ends for that.  Ihave been doing this trip for several years and I have been in charge for 3 since someone retired.  It is a lot of work, but fun.  We're leaving out of MIdway at 7 in the morning so we all have to be at school at 4:15.

I get the house to myself tonight.  My husband is playing bridge and my daughter and son are working. No cooking yeah! I will get caught up on the shows I have taped.

Have a good day everyone.

'Morning. I never was a person that gets sick with temp changes. I really do not understand that concept at all. You have to come in contact with a virus . . . .

I do not envy you at all regarding traveling with students. My DH and I did that for close to 15 years as chaperones to district 214 orchestra. I am too old to do that anymore. Kids are crafty at trying to pull the wool over your eyes.

Enjoy controlling the remote tonight.

The concept is that the change in temperatures has you off kilter with too few or too many clothes as well as your body not adjusting and becoming hyperthermic or hypothermic and your immune system dealing with that is more likely to not stop that virus or bacteria you come in contact with or carry around with you at all times.  Not to mention all the -itisis and allergies and what they do during temperature changes.

So you have been forgiven?

 Happy Hump Day Everyone!

I am up but not sure about the wake part.  I have come donw with a terrible cold.  I have had a sore throat for several days and yesterday at work I just kekpt feeling wors as the day progressed.  I just love the yo=yo weather as that is when I get sick.   Oh well, not much I can do about it.

I started decorating my cube yesterday.  Got 1 panel out of 6 done between phone calls.  So at the rate I am going I might be done by the deadline in 2 weeks.    I like what I picked out so that is good.

Not much planned today.  If I can make it though work that will be great but I dont have high hopes.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hello everyone

I went to Walmart last night and bought the stuff I need for my liquid diet.  That Adtkins protein drink is expensive.  I bought tons on jello (two packs of 12) and lots of Popsicles (two packs of 15)  and chicken broth.  This is the part I have been dreading.  I told everyone at work just like a smoker trying to quit smoking, expect me to be very crabby.  If I didn't have the surgery at the end to motivate me there is no way I could do this.  The girls took me out to eat as a last supper.  It was very yummy.

I have my appointment with my surgeon on Friday ( so I will have a half day at work!!!!).  I have to talk  to him about taking my Seasonel (birth control).  I tried to explain to the nurse that I take that medicine for excessive bleeding during my period (not because of pregnancy).  I explained if I stop taking that I could become anemic again and I won't be able to exercise.  The last time I had problems I couldn't even do my own groceries without excessive bleeding.  So I hope he says it's alright to keep taking them.

Well I hope everyone has a nice day.
