Avon Walk for Breast Cancer...Anyone going?
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone was going to the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer on June 6 & 7th? I would love to go and form a team. I think it would be soooo much fun if we had a big group and do it together.
Let me know if you are interested. Here is a link for more information.

I hope to live though the first day. I told my friend she should start training with 160 pounds on her back so she can get used to carrying me on the walk. That may be the ONLY way I will make it to the finish line!

Yeah, the only exercising I will be doing on that trip is bringing the hand to the mouth with a wine glass later in the day, LOL. There is exercising if you call it that as you have to be mobile and be able to climb stairs as there isn't any elevator.
We have been on this little boat before. It is strictly a sightseeing boat. Each of us gets to decide on our birthday "stay" each year and I decided on "The Twilight" because we do not think that the owner/operator will be around too many more years, he is probably 75+ years old. It is on a boat that only sight sees - you board in LeClaire, IA and then overnight about 125+ miles north in Davenport, overnight at a hotel then come back down river the next day. I saw my first eagle ever on this ride in 2004. The whole ride is narrated and you "lock" through 2 times each way on the Mississippi. I highly recommend this excursion for those that need to unwind. Even though you are not away from cell phones, you are away from the TV and internet.
