Happy St Patricks Day to all,
the true Irish and the Irish for a Day

Dee, I love the new view. It is the first time that we can see you clearly.

I would love to get out in our garden and clean it up, but it is still way to wet.

I did get to Walmart on Sunday, ours still has a fabric department. According to the sales lady, it isn't suppose to close. I hope not, for rug making I don't want to spend alot on it.

Today is another work day. At least in this office I can see  the sun.
I have been able to get out and get some Vit. D the last few days. That is a good thing.

Hugs, have a great day and get out and enjoy the sun.

Lisa

Good morning Christine and IL family!

Happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone!!!  This is one of my most favorite holidays. I am wearing green of course! I bought a cheap tiara from Target in green and wearing it with my long red haired wig.  Also, I am wearing St. Patrick's Day necklaces with shamrocks on it.

Listening to the Irish Rovers while I'm here and at work. I just love this holiday!!!

Yesterday I saw Dr. Guske in his new office in Hoffman Estates. I got lost even with mapquest and the Garmin!

We had a long chat. I didn't have any fluid taken out of my band. I asked him to be more accountable and come in every 2 weeks until I can get a strong handle on myself. He asked me to journal everything I am eating and I shouldn't be eating more than 800-100 cal per day.

I started journaling this morning. I have to count my add ons to coffee and crystal light or its generic equivalent. I am off to a great start!

I need to track my vitamin intake as well. I've gotten sloppy with that too.

Well, it's off to a grand day! No corned beef for me today. It will be chicken strips with salad for lunch. I haven't decided dinner yet. Then off to my board mini meeting at 7 tonight.

Have a wonderful St. Patrick's Day!

Hugs,
Lucy

Good morning to you young lady.

The journaling should help, it really helps keep you in check. It is amazing how much goes in the mouth that we are not being conscious of. Dr G is correct on the calories 800-1000 a day. I am to try and keep it at 1000-1200 a day, different docs. I take it he will let you come back in every two weeks?

Good morning Christine. I am rotating my appointments between Dr. Guske and the PA or NP. As you know, it's so difficult to get appointment with him. I have to call today to schedule a number of appointments, as it is hard to get to see him.

I agree. Tracking will give me a lot of insight as to my eating!

Have a great day.

Good Morning Chris and the rest of IL!

I would say Happy St Patty's Day first, but first and foremost in this house it's Tyler's 15th birthday today!   Yep, 15 years ago at 7:02am he was brought into this world by emergency c-section with red hair..imagine what everyone thought I was gonna name him?  LOL  Patrick!  nope!

Tonight we will go out to dinner with our family, and my exes family for Tyler's birthday.  He chose the Olive Garden, so we'll meet at the one up near Woodfield around 6:30 for that.

Other than that, nothing really going on.  I now have a complete cold with cough, yipee!  Hopefully it will be gone by the time I go to Vegas with my mom!  I think I also pulled a muscle in my left side just below the rib cage on Saturday.   I moved funny and got this stabbing pain in my side that had me doubled over for almost 10 minutes.  Now every once in a while it stil gives me a pinch if I move the wrong way.  At first Mike though maybe it's a hernia, but I don't think so, or I hope not anyway..lol

Well I wish everyone a wonderful St Pat's Day and enjoy the weather, it's supposed to go back to the 40's for a while starting tomorrow!

OUCHIE, hope you are not too uncomfortable.

Wave as you go past the back of my house, if you come up I-355 to I-290. I live just about 1/2 mile north of Irving Park Rd on the east side of I-290. Look for the Office Depot building on the left north of the Metra tracks and I am directly east of it. I can see their flag from my kitchen.

Since you and Monica are close south of me and in what could be called west burbs do you know of a store that is cheaper than WalMart in West Chicago or West Burbs? Woodmans.

Randy

So you have been forgiven?

Randy, I do know of Woodmans. It is a WI based grocery chain, employee owned. Great place. I am not familiar with the one that is out in the Aurora area as to where it is at but I do know that there is one in Carpentersville on Randall Rd, north of the tollway. It has one of the largest selection of cheese that I have ever seen. It would be well worth a drive out there. I think it is about 5+ miles north on Randall Rd and on the west side of the road, which would be your left side as you are driving north.

I almost bought some cram cakes at Aldi's last night.  The weight in my hand and the dollars on the sign did not match up well for me so I opted for some popcorn shrimp.  Enjoyed those last night and have two more boxes for weeks to come.  Have you been to Woodmans? It was mentioned on CBS news last night as being the least expensive market in the area with WalMart at Number two.  I find Aldi's less expensive than Walmart though.

hi Randy,
Yes we have a Woodman's right here in North Aurora and a Super Wal Mart 2 miles down the road from me.  If I want name brands or things that Aldi's doesn't carry I will go to either of them.  Woodman's does have great prices that's for sure!
