Wednesday Roll Call
I'm sure that Dr. Guske will help you too! That's why so many of us like him. He doesn't yell or is judgemental. He truly understands us.
Huggers,
Lucy
Yeah it is tough to do all the food planning. I hate it just like the next person. Maybe it is because I do not do much grocery shopping and the cooking as Dave does most of that. I draw a blank when he says what do you want from the store? One thing that helps me is I read the grocery store ads and start a list when they come in the mail.

I wish Dave a safe and successful trip.
I am working today and smelling our corned beef and cabbage lunch that I am cooking for the office. We will have that today and they will have ruebens tomorrow. I think I will make the "stoup" for me. I also want to try Nancy's casserole, so I might have to see if the stores have coerned beef on clearance. You CAN freeze it, correct?
The school board meeting I attended last night was not so bad, and I think I may have forced them to take a closer look at what is going on. I can always hope so anyway.
My boss is back, so I am back to my shorter hours today.
I am looking forward to getting back to the school on the machines. My weight is slowly creeping up and I am not sure what is causing the gain. Hopefully, the new exercise will reverse the trend. If I let it, it kind of gets me down......it is just like BEFORE surgery when I worked very hard and NOTHING seemed to help and I even gained for no reason that I could see. After a while, I get to thinking, "What's the point?" BUT, I am going to try to put the negatives aside and keep on keepin' on......what choice do I have? Maybe a walk at lunch today too.......
So, I will get off the pity pot and wish you all a spectacular day!
Crystal is doing very well with her liquid diet and it will be less than a week before she is ready for her spot on the bench.
Tell someone you love them today!
Well, one good piece of information Dave gave me yesterday is that he finally has a check coming from this new company to compensate him for some travel expenses.
Yes, you can freeze the corned beef as it is in a vacuumed sealed plastic bag. We have 6 more roasts in the freezer as I write this. It is soaked in a salt brine but it will freeze fine.
You are probably gaining a little muscle, chill.

Any way not much going on here might make it down to the park again today if it does not rain before I get going,
hope everyone has a great day,
Hugs to all.

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!
would just start with LOL but would not want you to think I am laughing at you. Exercise and muscle building are great things. Most folks though unless they watch their calories and keep them at a very low level will gain weight when beginning a new exercise program or increasing their level of exercise. Part of that is muscle gain but also many will eat more when exercising as well as having a water gain from the healing process for very small muscle damages.

March 17, 2009 (WLS) -- If your exercise of choice is walking, are you really getting in enough steps to stay healthy?
Moderate exercise reduces stress, cuts heart disease, cancer risk and even extends life span. But how much exercise is moderate?
A new study from San Diego State University finds people need to walk at a brisk pace about 100 steps per minute. This, according to researchers, raises heart rate and alters metabolism enough to meet the guidelines for moderate exercise. It translates into 3,000 steps per 30 minute session.
Any amount of exercise is helpful, but researchers say brisk walking will improve circulation and lung function in ways a slow stroll cannot.
