I DON'T UNDERSTAND ????

Maybe u can . I just called Dr.vitello's office to see if the sent my paper workoff to the insure co ,  this is how my  phone call went ..f.y.i. i have medicade, n someone told me that it will take 4-6 weeks to get approvel . So I wanted to see where I stood on the dates ...

me: can u tell me where I wld call to see if my paperworks been sent off for approvel ?

lady: Do u have a date for ur WLS yet ?

me: no I thought that u had to have the go a head from the insure co 1st.

lady: oh then ur not done yet . You have to finsh all the appointments 1st.

me: I did , everybody signed off on my paper work .

lady:whats ur name?

me:cherotiy, n I thought u cld not get a date till u had the go head fron insure ?

lady: no thats not how it works, u have a date then they send the date with the paper work to the insure co , u cant be done sorry.

me: huh?

lady : yep thats how it works, have a nice day..bye now

now plz help me understand , they told me at my last Dr  appointment that I was good to go that they were sending my paper work off... I dont understand...If n e one does plz let me know???

Call back and ask to speak to the "Office Manager".  In most medical offices, this is the person in charge of all paperwork.  Perhaps the receptionist is not very well-trained?
I would definately try again.  Don't let them leave you confused.  YOU are the customer, they work for YOU!!!!

Thanks girls...I will say I did have a moment day ,  I went to the shower n cryed .. After that I prayed about it . Then I called every number that I found for my Dr till I found someone that cld help me , But she's was gone til Monday.. So I left a message..LOL..What else cld I do. I just hate not knowing whats going on... I will let u guys know whats going on next week..thatnks for being here...Until the next time may God always smileon your paths...Cheroity

Just here to give you words of encouragement.  I would also suggest calling everyday till you get a viable response.  Sometimes office workers are not adequately trained or informed on the complete and total procedure.  Call and ask to speak to the office manager.  I had the same issue when I was inquiring about my charts.  I had to call six times till I got a knowledgeable person.
