Thursday Roll Call

Got a load of laundry in the dryer right now so I have clean uniforms when I come home and another load of light clothes in the wash. We always rent a car when we go on long road trips due to the fact that we have a little Aveo without cruise control. Because Dave is a retired ATT employee he gets them at a discount and all we need to do is pay for the rental and put gas in it. We do not have to pay a daily fee for mileage when we get a full size auto. We pick the car up at 4pm. Randy, I will wave at you because we get the car at the Hyatt right near Ikea.
By this time tomorrow we will be almost on the road getting the heck out of Dodge. We will stop in the Tuscola, Arcola or Mattoon area for breakfast. I would like to go to Arthur to an Amish rest. but that is a little hike off the highway. More than likely we will stop in Mattoon.
Have a great day.

Dee, stay off Facebook, that's an order!!!

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!
I am sitting here drinking my one cup of java for the day. Then I will decide what is happening for today. I know DH and I will be heading to Menards today. Hopefully this will be the last trip for a while. I really don't want to see my master card when it comes this month. Plus, the real estate taxes are out for LaSalle County. Those gifts should be coming in the next day or so.
Yesterday afternoon, I was able to dodge the one storm we had by going into the local hospital to have a blood test I needed for my heart Dr. visit next week. It got black and windy. Then it came down.
Have a great day, and stay dry.
Hugs
Lisa
I'm at work and it's nice and peaceful. At least it's Thursday, the weekend can't come soon enough.
I went to class yesterday and they really didn't say anything that I didn't already know. But it's a good reminder.
Well my daughter will be coming home the 16th. I can't wait!!! We have some plans to run around and do things before she leaves Memorial Day weekend. Number one is to go to Gander Mtn @ the Promanade in Bolingbrook. She needs a good sleeping bag and a rain coat. We'll have a family get together before she leaves.
Today, my ex- sister in law (who is also one of my best friends) is coming over today. Then tomorrow I will be visiting a friend I haven't seen in 25+ years. I found her on Facebook. I love Facebook, I found so many people I have lost touch with.
Well I hope you all have a nice day.
Christine, I hope you and Dave have a great trip and get some relaxing in. As I recall there is a pretty good restaurant just off the interstate at the Arthur/Arcola exit that serves Amish food. Cant remember the name though, sorry.
It was beautiful here until 3:30. Just as I was going into my Dr's office there was a loud clap of thunder and then it started to sprinkle. Until then sunny and 75. Couldn't ask for a better day off. I did talk to the ortho doctor yesterday about a knee replacement. I am ready to say "Uncle" They both need to be done but he wont do them both at the same time. Will talk to my supervisor and see if I can get off work or if it will cut into the start of our busy season. We are so slow right now.
Today I get my hair done after work. Then it is Friday! Yippee! Hope everyone has a great day!

Dave and Chris, please drive carefully and have a great trip!
I am working today, then tonight, I am taking David and possibly Liv and we are going to get CPR certified with the Scouts. David has been certified before, but this will be new for Liv and I. It is a good idea since she works at the museum and I have started the new theater group. I hope it does not go too late though as I have been needing my sleep lately.
Our meeting with the special committee of the school board went pretty much as planned. The superintendent actually told me that she/they were not responsible or could not do anything about anything that a teacher might say to students that is inappropriate. We were also told that they would back their teachers 110% in all things. I guess I should have went to school to be a teacher. In my job, I can be disciplined or even fired for saying or acting inappropriately. It is really too bad.
The sun is shining brightly now and seems to have burned off all the fog that I drove through coming in this morning. I have not seen the forecast, so I hope it sticks around.
Everyone have a splendid day!
Good morning Illinois!
Have a safe trip Chris and Dave.
I went to Hobby Lobby yesterday and picked up my metalware for the walls. Got them put up last night after going to the gym. I love the new look in my living room and dining room. Now I have two huge wall pictures that I'm going to need to sell. I still have some black shelves to put up so I can put the family photos on. Once thats done my living room will be complete. My projects will then be done for this year.
Not much on the agenda today...I think I will clean house and then go to the gym tonight.
Have a great day everyone!
Have a great time on your vacation! Maybe you will come home and Lake Bennet will be all dry! I was happy yesterday my basement was dry and the lake in the driveway was getting close to dry and we got more rain yesterday at about 3:30 and now we have our muddy drive back. The basement is just damp.
Well gotta run taking 1st and 3 rd graders to the park to palnt trees...
