Good morning Ilinois!

I am back at work and counting the days until Friday.  I am very excited about my "summer camp" and am really looking forward to seeing you all and meeting new friends too!

The weekend was fine, nothing too exciting.  I led my second theater group on Friday night and they seemed to enjoy it and have fun.  They also decided on a name for the group and what kind of show they will be performing next Spring.  They have decided to write their own show of vingettes entitled "How to Survive Middle School".  I am proud of them and looking forward to putting it all together.

Yesterday, it was so dreary in the morning that Todd and I stayed in bed and watched movies.  It was fun.  We finally got moving around noonish, then later in the day, the sun came out and we grilled dinner.  We had watermelon too, which made it feel like summer!

What's going on with you all today?

Tell someone that you love them!

Good morning Dawn and Illinois!

I was wondering where everyone is...posted roll and then saw you did it and deleted mine so there is only one roll call.

We too had a lazy evening. Watched a movie...and did little else. In the morning we cleaned carpets then went out to finish the grandkids birthday shopping.

Not much on the agenda for today except laundry, laundry and more laundry.

Hope you all have a great day!

 Good Morning Dawn and Illinois!

It is a cloudy day here and promises to be more rain today.  They are supposed to install my new ac today and start digging my driveway as well.  Naturally rain is forecasted.  I am not sure this driveway is ever destined to be concreted.    Plus, I think my old ac may have gone out yesterday.  Good timing.

Dawn, did you get my message about what could possibly be done with leftover clothing after conference?

I have the late shift this week -- 10:30 -7pm so can contribute to my night owl tendencies.  But I dislike working that late.  Oh well.  Some people are in training so someone has to close.  Thursday are my final appointments before surgery and I hope to get some laundry done as well.

Hope everyone can dodge those raindrops today and has a great day!

Good morning everyone! I am really working on getting on track so one of the things I am going to do is post more.

I am going to chiro today and nothing else much planned. I am going to talk to him about going to Fitness 19 and what I can do there that won't mess up my back..we will see.

Anyway have a great day! I am so bummed I can't go the OH event this weekend. It's my weekend to work.

You are looking fabulous!! It's good to "see" you here!  Try to stop in more often!
My neice wanted me to ask you if you knew how she would go about making little caps and stuff for the NICU babies at the hospital??  You were my great neice's nurse when she was there in the NICU after having life saving surgery at 2 days old and my neice said that she'll never forget you.  She loves to crochet though and wants to do things for other parents going through the NICU with their babies....
Thanks!

Monica

Hi Monica...you are looking fab too!! Almost didn't recognize you. What is your nieces name..send it private if u want. I only float to NICU now and then so I don't get to know babies much but I am glad she a good experience there. I am not sure about who exactly to talk to about the handmade things but if you call and ask for Katie Hammerburg or Leticia Alvardo they are the Child Life department and coordinate the Peds stuff so if it isn't them they will tell you who to talk to.
Thanks so much!!!

Good MorningDawn and the rest of Illinois.

Just a couple of  question.  Anyone coming to the OH event from south of  LaSalle County besides  Karen? Another question, What is everyone planning on wearing? Are we going to be able to get breakfast at the hotel?

No big plans for today. I need to go into work to get a couple of papers I need. And the one cord I need for my laptop. Other then that, a bit of housework, and work on a rug. Plus, get my time in on the Gazell. I think we will either bake or grill chicken for dinner tonight, since we went out last night.

Speaking of dinner out, I think i did  good. I ordered a chicken parm sandwich, no pasta, threw the bun out and brought home 1/2 of it. DH got the potato, and I ate a small salad. All is good.

They are going to redo the sewer on our street, and they are moving the phone and electric lines to the other side of the street. So this morning I wake up to the sound of trucks, laying the new poles out. It will be an interesting summer.

Have a good day, stay safe and dry.

Hugs,
LISA

I can't answer about southern Illinois folks, but maybe about breakfast......

The conference is having chef Dave Fouts, who is a "bariatric chef" doing a demonstration with samples on Saturday morning.  I do not know if there will be enough "samples" for everyone to consider it breakfast.  I know that we mostly eat "sample" sizes, but again, I do not know how much he plans to provide.

There is a restaurant in the hotel, but it may be expensive.  Someone (Karen, I think) had said that they hoped the hotel would accomodate our smaller tummies with smaller portions/prices, but we will have to see how it goes.

I always take protein powder with me when I travel and that will usually take care of me for breakfast.  It would not hurt to pack something just in case.......

Hi Lisa,
I don't have any idea about the food situation there, but I don't have very much extra money at all to bring, so I hope it works out okay for us!  lol
As for clothes...well since right now the only things that I have that fit me are my jeans and capri's that's what I'll be wearing!  lol  Hopefully that's okay too!
