Saturday"s Roll Call
Did everyone else get storms last night? Ours started about 10 last night, and the first thing to go was Direct TV. Then the electric. Well, after it went off twice, and I reset everything,I decided to flip the switch on the computer stuff, grab a flashlight and head for bed. Now, the sun is out and it looks great outside.
We did go to see our DD for dinner last night. Mom, me, had to see my DGD, I will not see her now until the 10Th or so of August.
Nothing on my agenda today. Just normal Saturday stuff, make meatloaf for dinner. I need to finish a project I started yesterday.

We did get a lot of rain here last night and high winds but the Lights did not go out ,
I am sorry that I don't post more but my job keeps me so busy and tying to keep things going at home is some kind of job,

My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

I wish I could be at "rock city" today but I have to work instead. Not much on the agenda this weekend. Master closet is getting cleaned and organized tomorrow. We have so many clothes that we just don't wear. It's time to donate them.
Calvin will be traveling to Kansas City on August 10th and will be there for a min of a month. Training and Trouble shooting a store that is not doing well. I'm not thrilled one bit. I like my me time but that is too long. Oh well, I really don't have much choice in the matter.

I want to thank all of you for your condolences and wishes to me and my family.
Today starts the days of the wake - my Mom wanted to have a wake for 2 days. Today's starts at 4 pm to 9 pm; tomorrow from 2 to 9 p.m. I'll be there for her but it's going to be so draining. He was the love of her life; they did everything together even worked at the same plant and hours. My mom did everything for him - if it wasn't for her he would have died a long time ago. She made sure he had the best.
The funeral is on Monday with a Mass, burial and then luncheon.
She lives in a large house with so many memories of him.
I have to go back to work on Tuesday. But, I am so glad that my aunt is here from Austria. That will be of so much support for my mom.

So sorry to hear about your loss Lucy. My stepfather passed 4 yrs ago and my mom is still not doing well with the loss. Its so hard when they have been together for so long and so much of my mom's life was taking care of him. I wish she would give the same care to herself....I know what you mean about the wake being draining but all in all its a good thing to have that much time to say good bye. Take care of yourself thru it all!
Not much planned this weekend. I am getting pretty bored with being home. DBF is out getting his truck fixed then he should be home the rest of the weekend. We might go out shopping later...not sure if I am up for it yet but we will see. Will be good to get out of the house for a while!
