Hello everyone

It's almost time for me to get to work but I thought I would post something quickly.

Well Ihad my 3rd fill last week and I'm doing pretty good.  I now have 7.8 ccs in my band now.  On Sunday I was eating and I didn't chew well enough and I got stuck...bad.  I ended up throwing up.  That scared me.  I need to be extra, extra careful from now on.

Two and a half weeks till my daughter comes home.  It can't come fast enough.  I miss her lots.  And she is so home sick.  This whole experience has her rethinking the whole Peace Corp thing.

Well have a great day.

Good Morning Crystal,

Yesterday after I got home from work, I put on my walking shoes and walked 1.25 miles. I realize a lot of you walk a lot more, but for me, I think its grand. Not sure what the weather is going to do today, but hopefully, when I get home, I can convince DH to go with me walking.

Nothing else on my agenda today. I got the furbaby ( the daughters cat) to eat finally. This cat is 16 years old, and stays under the bed most of the time. I know shes alive, since the food is gone and she used the litter box.

I am off to work as well. I need to get gas before I go, so I need to leave a bit earlier then normal.

Stay safe, get some natural vit. D

Hugs LISA

Good mor'ning Crystal and IL family.

Well, I'm back at work today and it's tough. I am so exhausted.

I got home at 9 p.m. yesterday.

It was the most difficult day for my mom and us. The mass was wonderful - and the priest shared a personal message with us about my stepdad. My stepdad was buried in a masoleum (sp??) so this was the first time that I had experienced that. They had a short service in the chapel and then we went to the crypt. They had the casket partially in the space that was reserved. The funeral director asked my Mom if she wanted to stay there while they completed the burial. It was very traumatic and emotional, as you can hear them sliding the casket all the way in - my mom has a spot with him. It's just so final. To know that you will never see him like he is again.

At my sister's I had gotten the shakes and sweats - I think from the lack of protein. After a cup of skim milk and some cheese, it was better.

Crystal, I know the feeling of getting food stuck. It is awful until you bring it up. With the RNY, the issue of food getting stuck isn't as bad as with a band.

Well, time to work.

Take care,
Lucy

You have some of the hardest parts behind you now.  I can remember how final the burial is.  It is an overwhelming final experience.  It really brings all your grief to a head.  I am sure it was difficult to leave the cemetery.

Work will help you keep your mind focused on other things and help you cope with your grief and you struggle to accept all that has happened.  Time does help but you never get over missing your loved ones.

You are still in my thoughts and prayers.

Hugs

Hi Nancy. Thank you for your message. It is very comforting to me.

I left work a bit early today to try to get some rest. I didn't sleep well at all last night as I was up on the hour during the night.

It was a real rough 6 days.

Hugs,
Lucy

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

I am sure your daughter will be very happy to be home soon.  I think it is great that she stuck it out even though it has been hard for her.  Maybe being away so far with the Peace Corps is not in the cards, but it is good that she got an early warning!

I am working today and then have to go to the store to get the groceries and last minute things for the Scout's trip.  They are leaving about 5:30 am on Thursday and won't be home until August 8.  I will miss them, but it may give Todd time to think about missing me too?

We had another little forward step last night and this morning (does that make 2?) so I am feeling pretty good today.  I will take what I can get at this time.

Not too much else happening here in my world.......

I wish everyone a wonderful day!

Tell someone that you love them!

Hi all,

Well is has been a long and busy week and weekend.  I had my second sleep study last night and as much as I hate that cpap machine I really feel good today after using it last night.  Hopefully I will not have to use it for long.  This afternoon I am off to my surgeons wls seminar that is mandatory prior to scheduling anything else.  The surgeon already has my PCP's referal and after this evening it will just be jumping through hoops.  Then it is back to my PCP on Thursday to check my BP because it has started to go up.

Anyone heard anything from Cherioty?(sp)  Sounds like she could use some support because she has had a hard time.  Heather how are you doing?  Randy try and keep busy while you are waiting to hear about your approval.

I have not had a chance to learn other names on here sorry but I hope that everyone else has a great day today.  Right now the sun is out here and it is a beautiful morning.  The rain maybe on the way but here is to it helping my tomatoes grow!  I can't wait for more of them.

Another rinse and repeat day for me over in Helpdesk. I am just counting down the days until my final weigh-in (Thursday). I hope everyone else is having a good one.

Thanks

Omar,

Great going on getting through this part of the process.

I do not know if you need a new picture or not but that child has to be walking by now or close to it.

Randy

So you have been forgiven?

Randy,

You are so right about the picture being outdated . My wife actually said something to me about it. Our litlle guy is now 3 years old and running around like crazy.
