Good Morning Illinois!

Surprise!  I am up early today.  I am back in the work world again.  I went to the orthopedic doctor yesterday and got released to go back to work.  I don't have to have a checkup on my leg for a year so I am all set.  I am still in physical therapy though.  

What is going on in everyone's world today?  Eileen, thoughts and prayers for you and your Dad as you go to the oncologist today.  Monica, I know yesterday had to be an extremely difficult day.  You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers as well.  Lucy, I hope you got another night of restful sleep.  Randy, the waiting for approval is the hardest part of this surgery so hang in there.  Lisa, enjoy your month off!  Dawn, enjoy your time alone while the boys are away playing.  This is a good time to regroup for you.   I know other things are happening and I apologize for not remembering everyone.  

I hope everyone has a productive day and take some time to do something nice for yourself!

Hi everyone,

Big day for my wife and I , last official day of our 6 month supervised diet. Just got to get through the weigh-in and on to the next step (approval). On a side note, I am very bummed out that my Ipod isn't working. These darn things cost so much money are so very fragile.

Congrats on making it through the 6 month diet!      Those 6 months have to be the longest 6 months of our lives!  Now on the the fun things.  It is down hill from here on out!  Things will start happening fast for both of you.  Good luck for the coming events!  

Congratulations.. Just last year I was starting that part of the process. I know that 6mo seams like SUCH a LONG time till you get to the end of it...... Almost there.
I bought 1 pod it broke in the first year tried new headphones I exchanged it once the second one broke in 4 mo. Then I bought a $39.00 mp3 player,, it has lasted 3 years been abused terribly,, I LOVE it

Good morning Nancy. Wow,  you're back at work today. Be sure to take it slow and get a lot of rest. You'll probably get tired earlier in the day.Over time, that will get better.

Eileen, I've been thinking of you and your family. Fingers crossed for your dad too.

Monica, so sorry to hear about the loss of a child in the family.

Randy, your time is coming and so near. Hang on; it's so much worth it.

Hope everyone else is doing well and enjoying the summertime.

I'm hanging in there - one day at a time. Sleeping is not the best for me. I have pain in my right knee and it keeps me up at times. Mom is keeping busy - we're trying to get her to go visit with my aunt for a few weeks so she won't be alone in the house. I might be going with her, depending on the timing of it all and the availability of plane seats.

Congrats on getting released to go back to work.  ( I think ) LOL. 
I'm just amazed at how quickly you bounced back.  I'm so happy for you.
I have a full day today.  Marketing this morning then second interview at Mimis Cafe at 1:30.  Work at Outback tonight.  I'm not sure what's going on at Mimis.  They don't seem to be very organized.  They had already told me they would be calling me with a training schedule but then they called yesterday for another interview.  Who knows.
Nothing else going on.  Hope everyone has a great day!

Nancy, let me also say how fast you healed enough to go back to work. I know we all love it when we are off for any reason, But also love it when we go back.

Christina, you will find a full time job.

Eileen, I hope you find out all the answers to your questions today.

Omar, your journey is almost over, and a new one will be beginning.

We are on day 5 of our cat sitting. I know she is ok since shes eating like crazy. She is still hiding under the bed and wont come out, but she is eating, so that is what is important.

No major plans for today. I want to kill some grass and weeds when I get home tonight.

stay safe, use sunscreen if you are going out today.

Good morning Nancy and the rest of Illinois!

I did not get a chance to check in yesterday as it was a crazy day for me.  I met my new PCP and I think I am going to like her very much!  That is good news.  She is very thorough and made sure that all three of my referral appointments were taken care of before I left her office.  The mammogram was scheduled for yesterday afternoon!  Between the doctor's, mammo and getting Liv to the museum, I barely had time for work!  lol;-)

 I might have to have a biopsy done on the left side.  There are lumps in there but the mammo and ultrasound say they look benign but since they have been saying that for the last few years, the doctor may want to have them tested to be sure.  We will see.

I have an appointment with another specialist tomorrow afternoon and the issue will probably involve surgery, but the good news is that it CAN be fixed.  She is also sending me to the podiatrist.

My boys left for their "high adventure" at 6 this morning and I hope they have a great time.  I also hope that Todd takes a little time to think about things and misses me too.

I am thinking of Eileen today and Monica too.  My prayers are with you and your families.

Nancy---I am very happy for you that you are healing so well.  Going back to work is a good thing even though is might not be a fun thing.

It is great to see Lucy back with us and Jessica too!

Randy and Omar (and his wife) will be submitting for approval soon and that "waiting is the hardest part".  Try to keep busy.

I wish everyone a great day and hope it does not rain here----my roofers are FINALLY supposed to start today!

Just a quick check in before I head off to the oncologist with my dad.  What a gloomy day.  I am anxious to get answers to all our questions.  Thank you all for the prayers and thoughts for my family.

Nancy, I am so glad you are up and out and feeling so good.  I am proud of you for all your hard work.  You did awesome and think how fast you will be moving when you get knee #2 done!  I hope you have a good return to work today and remember to come home and rest tonite! You will need it!

Lucy,  I still have you and your family in my prayers duing this difficult time.  It is good to keep your mom as busy as possible.  Good idea for her to go and visit.

Monica, I am thinking of all of you too, it had to be such a hard day yesterday.  I dont understand the ethics committee making that decision.  I agree that they shouldnt be able to tell people when they can deliver their baby especially in these cir****tances.  Try to remember that you all have a little angel watching over you now, and that she will never be forgotten.  God Bless you all.

Well I am off to the shower so I can be on time for his apt.  Ill keep you all posted.
