Tuesday Morning Roll Call

 Good Morning Everyone!

I hope everyone is doing OK this fine morning.  For those waiting to hear whether they get their surgeries approved, my wish is that today is today that you hear positive news!

Prayers for those who are struggling with health issues or who have family members that are struggling.

For me, I survived my double dose of Vicodin.  I ended up staying home until noon and took an extra nap.    Being extra sleep seems to be the only side effect.  I have to admit I wasn't feeling any pain.

Today is supposed to be a nice day so I hope you get a chance to enjoy it.  What is on your agenda today?  For those lurkers out there, why not at least say Hi?

I hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning Nancy and IL friends.

Nancy, want to shoot some of those pills my way? I sure could use some - at night!

At least you got some extra rest with taking more than you should- but didn't get hurt in the process. Thank goodness for that.

I, too extend my prayers to those who are struggling with personal or health issues and wish that those who are waiting for approval, hear in the very near future.

Not much going on with me - same stuff. My knee is aching and I don't see any relief in sight.

Work is the same stuff. Now my Mom is alone in the house. I have to call her this morning to see how she  is doing.

Wishing everyone a good day.

Hugs,
Lucy

I would be happy to share my drugs with you and Carla.  I don't know how to get them to you.  You are the 2 that have requested so far, but I also don't want to become a drug dealer.    Then I would be in loads more trouble and need to be bailed out of jail.  Too bad, because they work so well.

Good morning Nancy and the rest of Illinois!

The chicken turned out AWESOME!!!!  I can not evern describe how great it is.  I posted the recipe.

I am working today and taking Liv over to the museum so that she can work at the fair in their outreach tent.  David is back working at camp and Todd is back at his job.  Our roof is done and life is almost back to normal.

I am thinking of all of my friends here as they wait patiently (or not) for word on their particular step in this journey and also thinking of everyone who has pain and troubles.  I wish there was a way to make everyone better, but we just have to keep on keepin' on......things will work out.

Glad to hear that the double dose of medicine did not have too many terrible side effects.

Both my kids have chosen NOT to play Fall sports this year.  I am ambivilent about it, but do not believe in pushing them to do things that they hate.  It is really too bad because they both enjoy playing sports, and that is the problem.......since they do not have an "old school" last name and are not super-stars, they get benched 98% of the time.  That is life in a small community.  They both have plenty of other interests to keep them (and us) very busy and it will be nice to have a couple less commitments so that we can enjoy a little more "down time".  I think that will help on the home front.

Not too much else to report.....

Everyone have a spectacular day!

I rode the bench in football for grades 8,9 and 11.  I played both ways on JV during grade 10 and on varsity grade 12.  Walked on at Texas A&M but could not keep my grades up.  Transfered to University of Houston but the SWC voted not to let me play for them.  So I played a little semi-pro summer league and then took up the books again.  I would not give up any of it.  Just to have something to do spring of my senior year I rode the bench on our baseball team.  It helped that it was a winning team taking Bi-district.  I had never played baseball and am very bad at it but still had fun and stayed in shape.

Good Morning Everyone!
Now that I,m back at work I don't have much time to post.
I'm having my 4 week pain in my left side today and it is killer! wasn't sure if I could commute to work. Feeling really tired too. At least I know I'm healing well. Recovery is going well and clothes are getting bigger.
I'm studying for an important nursing Certification test this saturday and my protein/calorie deprived brain is suffering.  I hope I can retain the information I need to Pass.
So back to sip, sip siping away!
I might go home and take some vicoden myself!!!!

Have a great day,
Katie D

Same days it doesn't pay to chew the restraints off...

Dear Katie:

I hope you are drinking your protein shakes?  There is no reason for your brain to be protein deprived.....sipping on shakes is the key.

Glad to hear that you are healing well and moving along in your journey.

Good Afternoon IL friends

Well I was going to post this morning but then had to run Tyler to the high school for a football meeting and while he was doing that I ran to Target to return something, JC Penny to return and then buy some clothes for Jacob and also a few other stops.  Well my ex happened to call me while I was out and told me that he just got laid off!  Let me tell ya ladies...I am screwed!  My unemployment runs out next month and now I won't be getting child support either.  I have NO clue what I am going to do.  Mike is being a jerk and just doesn't seem to care lately.
Does anyone know if you can reapply for unemployment for longer than a year?  I have been applying at jobs everywhere!  From Dr's offices all the way down to Wal mart and Walgreens and all places in between!  No one wants me I guess.

Oh well, I am just working on homework today and trying not to cry and be depressed.  I hope everyone enjoys the nice day outside today!

Monica

Oh honey!

Please try to keep that chin up.  We love you and Lisa is right....everything happens for a reason.  A new job could be right around the corner for both of you.  She is also right that you should still get child support if your ex is on unemployment.  That is the law and the court's order.  The court says that it has to be paid no matter WHAT, he has to find a way to pay it.

Just wanted to give you a little bit of support ahd happiness.......and a {{{{{{{{{{{{{BIG HUG}}}}}}}}}}}}}...................smile!
