What is wrong with me? Feeling upset :( (Xpost)

I am almost 8 weeks post op (Monday) and I have lost 36 pounds. I am happy with that and overall feel good! I do not regret having RNY and I'm usually a positive person. But the last 2 weeks I am down and a concerned. I am on the phase where I eat foods as tolerated. In my soft/solid phase I was able to eat crackers, soft pasta, white toast and I think I'm still eating a little carby. I also have a Starbucks addiction which I'm trying to tame. I do have a skinny latte, decaf and all sugar free a few times per week. My concern is that all day I'm not hungry, but I do eat a little. At dinner time I get pretty hungry and eat a sensible dinner, but I never feel full? I stop when I think I should be. I am always waiting for a full feeling. I have a post op class scheduled with my Nut October 23rd. I have a flood of emotions.....did I stretch my pouch? Will I stretch it before I see my Nut? Is my RNY working? Is 36 pounds all I will lose? (I need to lose like 100) I'm having a fat day, my hair loss is starting, the scale is barely moving (lost 2 pounds in a week and a half), I'm worried this wont work and I don't know what to be eating!!?? I'm making myself crazy with the thoughts! Have any of you ever felt like this? Any comments and suggestions appreciated.

Breathe - now let's go over all of this. Some of your emotions are from hormones being released from the fat in your body and that is normal.

1. with the amount of food you can eat you no way can stretch your pouch. You would have to eat massive amounts of food to do that.
2. remember I mentioned to you the other day that the nerve endings need to heal so you will feel full. It will come eventually.
3. you will have to make the decisions on the carbs. It looks a little carby to me, but that is just me.
4. 2 1/2#s a week is a great average for a weekly loss. I would say that you are right on schedule. That is the recommended amount to loose when a person is on a regular diet, so you are where you should be. Some loose more some loose less - it is due to each person's metabolism.
5. schedule all of your meals and snacks from now on. This is for keeping your metabolism up all the time and you are feeding your body the proper nutrition during the day. Eating this way will also help you loose more and get down to your goal. Try to up your protein and water especially if you are getting more exercise in. Your hair loss is connected to the lower protein intake.
6. I would be keeping a food diary from now until your NUT apt. so it can be gone over and you be given recommendations for eating healthy.
7. I do not think that you have a Starbucks addiction. I would have decaf coffee every day. I would make mine at home as I am not fond of Starbucks.

You are doing fine and many of your thoughts are normal to be going through.

When is your next appt with Dr Wallace.  Bring all of this up to him.  He will definitely let you know if you are on the right track or not.  You may also want to give his office a call and his nurse will call you back....she would be a good source of information too. 

I have to be very careful about the amounts of pasta that I eat.  If I eat pasta too much.....I tend to hold on to water...even though the amount of pasta is only 1/2 cup.  Then again, that is just me.

I think that with the appt with the Nut,,you will learn alot and maybe of your concerns will be addressed.  Definitely make sure you have your list of questions to ask and start a food log to bring to the Nut.

P.S. I also used a straw.....uggghhhhhh How bad is that? Im beating myself up!

A straw can introduce air into the pouch and cause discomfort but that is about it. You are over thinking everything. Just go out for a walk or do a craft.
