Good Morning Sheri and Illinois Friends!
I am with Crystal, I hate Monday and I am ready for Friday lol. I also hate rain so it looks like I will hate this week, but since I have no control over the weather or the days of the week, I just have to grin and bear it.

Omar and Georgie, GNC has a policy some fairly good protein shakes and a policy of if you do not like what you bought you can return it within a month as long as you keep your receipt. I got a really yummy chocolate mint in there. As Omar says, the secret is keeping it really cold. The best tasting that I found was Chike, but it is expensive. You can find it advertised on the main board. I bought sample packs of a variety from the vendors advertised here so that I could find one I really liked. I use one from Walmart for my protein ice cream that I do not find too bad. DaVinci sugar free syrups that you can find in the coffee aisles at Walmart are great flavor adders that can take away some of that protein taste.

Good morning Sheri, and IL, I have today off kind of, I am taking my Resident out to lunch but if it keeps up raining we will have to stay home, don't want them to get wet and sick,

My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

I woke up feeling almost like my old sel***** out of bed without pain, got my daughter off to school, emptied and reloaded the dishwasher and already have dinner going in the Crockpot, a yummy bean soup. I may even try driving today!
Georgie and Omar, do you HAVE to use the Atkins shakes? I got lots of samples from Vita-lady (online) and Unjury. I really like the Isopure low-to-no-carb Dutch Chocolate and Strawberry Cream, and Unjury's Chicken Soup flavors.

Let me say I felt that the Atkins shakes were "strongly" encouraged....but it was mentioned that any protein shake should have a certain amount of protein and a lesser number of carbs...and darn if I can remember those numbers right now! I bought a case of choc and one of van, so will try to get them down....they really have a weird taste, but I'll survive! Just a stop along the weight loss road! LOL georgie

GOOOOOOD Morning Illinois!!!I am sooooo excited! I found out today that my DS surgery next month will be covered at 100%, because i have met ALLLLLLLLL my out of pocket deductiable.
What a blessing to have this srugery, without having a major expense.

I'm getting better day by day. I can actually sleep on the side for a short time. YAY!! I am seeing the ortho doc on Wednesday morning and hoping to get an OK to start on my elliptical.
I got 2 free tickets to see Wyonna's Christmas concert at the Blue Chip Hotel in Michigan City on December 12th. I am going with my best friend from work and spending the night.
Working as usual. Most of us hate Mondays but are thankful for having a job!

I was approved in 2 days. I would suggest to you that you call BCBS IL and ask if they received the paper work. Since it was submitted last week they should know an answer. When they say your approved, ask them to please fax the letter to Dr. Joyce's office. (It will take almost 2 weeks to get to you and them if you wait for the mail). BCBS may say we don't do that, me sweet and ask again telling them that your surgeon office didn't receive the letter. That normally gets them.
