Monday Roll Call
My parents are coming to visit on Thursday. I hope it all works out and it's enjoyable. Last visit turned out to be a disaster because I just could not hold my tongue after watching and listening to the way my step-father belittled and spoke to my mother. Needless to say, it was a bad ending to a visit and I have not seen them for a little over two years.
They are first stopping in Indy to visit with my sister and if it fits in their SUV, they are bringing me my sisters elliptical. I'm so excited. I love using the elliptical and will be moving it right where my recliner sits. Now if I could convince Calvin to give up his recliner and put the treadmill there. LOL I don't think it's gonna happen.
Hope everyone has a great day.

I just got done with my morning sitz bath, and thought I would stop in to say hello.
I have had two naps already today and am sure that I will have more.
I have my medicine on a switching schedule between the narcotic and Tylenol--every 4 hours. That means I only have the narcotic every 8 hours, butit DOES make me sleepy and a bit dizzy when I take it. This way, I have the pain releif, but only the bad effect 3 times per 24 hours. I can live with that.
I am worried because last night, we discovered that the animals have fleas. I am calling the vet soon so hopefully, David can take them down there after school, but I hope that the family can figure out how to de-flea the rest of the house on their own, as I can be of NO help. Oh well.....life would not be interesting if it were boring.
I am glad you are feeling better.
Good luck with the fleas. Depending on how bad it is, you will have to bomb the house. Everything is going to have to be vacummed and washed. It is not a fun process. Good luck. You might want to go to a hotel for a couple of days so you can relax, because everyone else will be in a bad mood while taking care of that problem.
Take Care

Good afternoon everyone!! I hope that everyone is having a great day so far, even if it is Monday.
I just got a call from the surgeon's office and I finally have a date for surgery!! I'm going to have my LapBand surgery on November 16th. I was hoping I would get a call from them today and now I can finally relax and know that it's real. Now, I just have to get with my work and see what needs to be done to get the time off, but I'm really excited now!! Tonight I have to go there to sit through the three and a half hour class on the pre/post-op diet. I'm hoping they'll let my husband come with me because he is concerned about the whole thing and really wants to help me out.
Sheri - I really hope that you have luck with this next fill! I'm looking forward to the next support group too.
Tonya - Congrats about the surgery being covered!! That's a huge relief, I'm sure.
Erika - Good luck and I really hope that approval comes quickly. I got a verbal approval after less than a week, but paperwork took it's sweet little time getting to where it needed to go. :)
Georgie - I'm just a week behind you! I also have to kick my diet pepsi habit, so I suppose the pre-op diet is the time to do it.
And Omar, I'm two weeks behind you on the surgery list. Keep us informed on those taste tests, because I'm a fairly picky person and will need some advice!
Well, I guess I should start making plans for the afternoon, since everything has changed now. I was hoping to be home to make dinner for the kids, so I'll have to come up with a back up plan! Have a great day everyone!!

I am glad you have been on the board consistently. You will really find a great deal of help and support here. I am excited that you finally got your date. The next support group will be 1.5 weeks before your surgery, so if you have any questions or need any advice let me know and I will be more than happy to help you along. Also I would love if your husband can keep me updated on how you are doing on the day of surgery so I can keep everyone posted. We all sit and wonder when someone is having their surgery and it is a great relief for us when we know everything is OK.
Talk you you later
Sheri
Congrats on the approval and getting your date. Be prepared for the very long 3 1/2 hour session. You may want to bring a water with you because if I remember correctly you are only allowed one break. Cherise will run you through a ton of stuff. In regards to your husband, or what they like to call our "support group", they will allow them in but ask that they sit in the back of the room to free up space on the tables.
