PREOP Apt Experience
Hi All,
What a long day yesterday! I had my PREOP/Consent day yesterday. I was exhausted, with all the waiting in the waiting rooms etc.
I was a little concerned becaue all of my paperwork for Ant., Nut stated I was getting the RNY...I almost freaked! Good thing I brought ALL my paperwork.
......I guess because I was approved for RNY at first they for got to change everything, when I got approved for DS.
I start my PreOP on Friday....I am sort of freaking out because I have to go shopping.
I am suppose to invest in a Blender that puree's, I would rather buy the food already at a pureed consistancy...(too much work)
That's it for now! I AM READY!!!!

Yes, sometimes the pre op apt is very long. My doctor's office tells patients to plan on being there for 3-4 hours. We have Power Point new life style learning in office and then we see the dietitian, exercise physiologist, have labs drawn and see the doctor.
As far as a blender what I did was purchase a small Cuisinart chopper/mini processor. I think that back in 2003 it cost me about $25 at Target. I just looked at their web site and the price has gone up a little but I am going to guess that you can get a unit cheaper at Wally World, KMart or Target. It worked out real well and then my husband who had RNY 4 months after me used it also. I still use the little unit as it is real handy for smaller jobs instead of bringing out the big huge processor.
I do love my Magic Bullet also. We mainly use it for protein drinks but I use it to grind my dry herbs.
