Wednesday roll Call
Revision on 04/19/13
Good Morning on a sunny Wed. It is a great day and thank a Vet. My father was one of the young men that put his life on hold during WW2, and my DH lost his father on Dec 7th in France.
I intend to get some stuff done,, and do some shopping today. My rechiner decide to break yesterday, so I wil be looking for a new one, and my kitchen tv decided to burn up so that needs to be replaced also, I think this will be an expensive shopping day.
So, whats in on your agenda today?
Hugs,
LISA
Good morning everybody.
I am in training again today and tomorrow as well. I will be glad when this is done. The good part of it is there is a lot of time of jus****ching things so I get a lot of time to sip my water. I got 55oz in yesterday!
Ive been using fitday.com to track my eatting and as long as I eat everything as planned today I will get in 60.9g of protein! yay!
I secured a babysitter for friday, so me and DH can go out. We are going to a fundraiser dinner/auction, and I am hopeful that this cold will be gone by then.
I had a great night with my son last night. I took out his wooden train set and we played with that. He got a bit trantrumish at one point and we had to put it away but he is excited to play with it again.
I hope you all have a great day! :)

Hi Lisa and Illinois,
Lisa, it sounds like a fun shopping day! I REALLY wish my dishwasher would burn itself out! It is an el cheapo GE that was here when we bought the house 4 years ago, and I can't justify spending the money on a new one until the old one conks out. My maternal grandparents are WWII vets as well, my grandmother was an Army nurse. I love to hear her stories.
I think things are going a little better for me surgery-wise. I've been able to eat chunkier purees without pain. I go back for a second endoscopy next Tuesday. Even though I was told my stricture is mild, I'm definitely going to ask the doc to dilate it again. One of these days I'd like to eat tiny bits of solid food!
My husband took my 1 month-out measurements last night. I've lost 12 inches. Yay! I'm going gym shopping today to find a nice place to start exercising as it will be too cold to walk outside comfortably before long. More exercise ought to help me break this first little stall.
Wishing everyone a sunny, lovely Veterans Day

Happy Hump Day everyone!
Lisa, sorry to hear about all the expenses. Doesn't it seem that when it rains it pours? I hope you can find some good buys.
Lucy, I hope your therapy goes well.
ChristineB, I am sorry to hear about the stress fracture. As someone who has a history of doing that several times a year I can really sympathize. They really do hurt! If you get a boot, my best advice is to go shopping for a pair of shoes that has the same height heel as the boot. Your back will thank you. I hit Walmart or KMart as I do not plan to invest a lot into these. They usually are not very attractive but otherwise your back kills you.
I would like to welcome into the world my great nephew Robert Michael Welker.
He was born yesterday at 11:20 am weighing in at 8 lbs 11 oz and 21 inches long. Good thing he was induced 3 weeks early or I would not have wanted to have him!
Mom and baby are doing fine.
I am still really upset over my great nieces. I feel like we will lose them. (see Sunday's post) I just cant wrap my head around this. It feels like a death. When I think about it I cry. I am not sure how I will bear this. Prayers will get me through this I hope.
Don't forget to thank a vet! We are busy in LaSalle putting together Christmas stockings for about 9,000 service people over seas and several K 9 units. We have been doing this for about 5 years. Very rewarding and well received.
I hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning Lisa and the rest of Illinois!
I am glad to se that so many of you are doing well and I see lots of new faces too! How exciting! I have just about spent all the time that I can so far this morning at the computer, so I will check back later to catch up with everything that I have missed since Monday morning.
I hope Georgie is doing well.
We went to Madison for the Trans Siberian Orchestra and stayed over Monday night. The concert was awesome and LONG-----they did a 3 hour show! At one point, I thought they would never finish. They are very good and the first part of the show was a Chirstmas story. The last part of the show featured songs from their new album and LOTS of lights, lasers, pyro-technics and even a floating stage that king of looked like a spaceship. Two band members were playing on it as it rose frome the back of the arena, very close to where we were sitting. It was close to sensory overload, but fun.
I went to the doctor yesterday and he FINALLY removed the tube!!!!!! My recovery should be a bit faster now and I am considering trying to go back to work, maybe next week. We will see. I am still very tired and need naps. I am glad to be rid of the awful thing and in a day or two, the pain from that should be gone and the hole closed up.
I am thinking of you all and sending good thoughts.
