Fluctuation in weight ? (XPOST)
I am 3 months out RNY, and I have lost 60 pds. I weigh two times per week. I have never seen a gain in 3 months, in my second weigh of the week I'm up 1.5 pounds. I also have my TOM, but I weighed the first day it started and since it has I gained the weight. Just curious if this happens to any of you, seeing I'm a few days into my Tom and it didn't just start? Thanks :)
Water retention most likely. This is why it is advised to always weigh yourself only ONCE per week. I weigh myself in my pjs every Saturday morning. Also keep in mind if you haven't had a bowel movement that can add a little extra weight too. 1.5 Pounds is nothing to obsess over. Now if you jump 5+ pounds in just a few days then you may want to look at your food choices.
I would put the scale away and not worry about it.

I had RNY on August 7th and about a month back there were a few weeks that I was going up and down 1.5 on the scale. That is when I realized I should accept the advice from everyone on this site that says weigh yourself once a week if that. Things have since then got back to slow and steady progress. Best of luck to you!!
