Good Morning Everyone,
I haven't been around for awhile.  I have been working and not feeling really well.  My mom (age 54) has j informed me that she has put her house on the market today so she can move in with my husband and I.  I think she is lonely living by herself now that my brother rarely comes home from college.  She wants to give us $500 a month to help out and she will help keep the house clean and make dinner if I work late.  I can't tell her no because she is my mother.  It is just going to be a big change.  I have not lived with her since I was 18 and I am now 34.  Hopefully it will solidy our mother/daughter relationship a little better and I won't always have to worry about her since I will see her all the time.  She is on disability for Fibromyalgia and Bipolar disorder.  I think alzhiemers is also setting in.  She also suffers from a mild form of agoraphobia and she will not go anywhere without taking valium.  Hopefully things will get better living with us.

Enough for my venting, I thought I better get things off my chest because I have gained some weight since this all came down on me and I noticed I was eating emotionally.

Have a great day everyone

Sheri

WOW - I could be you mom as I am 56.

I want to compliment you with the fact that you come across with a maturity level of someone my age -  with everything that you handle in life and the reenactments, your work and now taking in your mom.

I  U.

I will tell you that the road that you are going down will be hard. My DH and I had my mom and dad live with us during the first 2 years that we were married. It was hard and I would never recommend what we did. God be with you.

Thanks Christine,
I will be difficult at first, but we will get through it.  I would never have thought about saying yes a couple of years ago.  See, sister is a drug addict and has been in and out of mental homes the last couple of years.  Her, her husband and 3 kids lived with my mom and my mom enabled them.  This last time my sister went into the mental hospital, her husband went to jail after commiting armed robbery and my mom got temporary custody of the kids.  That was my moms wake up call.  My husband and I tried to get custody of the kids, but the courts said that there was not proof of abuse so after $10,000 spend we lost.  My brother in law got out of jail, and my sister came home, my mom kicked them out and has not seen them since.  We miss the kids, but DCFS won't do anything and either will the courts, so my mom and I have been spending alot of time together and bonding.  This unfortunate incident has brought us closer together.

Well enough of my whining, I better get to work.  Thank you for your kind words.  Sometimes that what a person needs to hear.

Good evening everyone!  I'm back at the library for a few minutes while my son is at a study session for Chemistry class.  Unfortunately the gentlemen next to me really needs to go blow his nose, giggles.

I started to see a counselor in the last couple weeks to help me set some goals and stick to them.  So far my goals are to do better about getting in liquids in the evenings and do some exercising at home in the evenings (as well as over my lunch hours).

When I went to the gym at noon today, the owner asked if he could spotlight me in the next newsletter.  That is pretty cool.

Have a great evening!!

Jennifer

Setting short term and long term goals is  a great idea!
How cool is it that you are going to be featured in an article in a newsletter!
