Tuesday Roll Call
I'm not usually on the computer in the AM, but I am and so I thought I would start the daily thread.
My plans for the day are to see my PCP for the first time after surgery. I had blood taken on New Year's Eve and I'm hoping that I can be taken off of some of my meds.
It's cold again today. Stay warm! My students haven't been playing outside b/c of the cold and they are squirrelly!! I hope it warms up soon.
Have a great day
Sue
Hello everyone
I'm sitting here at work wishing that it was time to go home. I love being home. It's my favorite place to be, especially when it's so cold outside.
I followed everyone's advice and checked out everyone's suggestions for websites, to learn to knit. I really like knittinghelp.com. I think this weekend I will be a knitting fool...
This Friday I have my 6th fill. I am hoping this will jump start my weight loss. I have been stuck for weeks now. At least I didn't gain weight during the holiday season. I'm also going to go see the movie Daybreakers. It's a vampire movie and I love vampire stories.
I hear we're going to get snow again on Thursday. I'm not happy about that. Well have a nice warm day.
Good Morning IL!
Another chilly, chilly day in Chicagoland. My workout went well yesterday and it felt so good to get back to a routine. My trainer changed things up and yep.. I can feel it today. Ugh! So, I have to work both jobs today so no time for much of anything except work. I do need to get going since I have to be at work by 8:30.
Sue - We all start getting squirrelly when we can't go out and play! This weather stinks. I feel for ya.
Have a great day everyone!
Christina
Sue I'm sure the kids are going crazy from all the pent up energy having to stay inside. LIke Christina says, we all go crazy when we can't go out and play!
Crystal, good luck with your knitting projects. I can see all sorts of new "stuff" for your daughter! LOL Hang in their with your fill, and good luck. Hope it is the "magic" one. I get another fill next Wed. I have some restriction, I can tell, but I was not a "model" patient during the holdiays! As someone mentioned, though, I didn't gain weight, just maintained my loss...and when was the last time we went through Christmas without gaining! Getting serious, again!
Not much going on here. Busy at work, with end/beginning of the year.
Everyone have a super day. HOpe Tinker checks in soon and is doing good after her surgery yesterday.

Daycare called me yesterday afternoon to come pick up my son, he had a fever of 102.3. Only when I got there 15 mins later he felt fine and at home his temp was 96.3. Now hubby is working from home and keeping him home because they want the kids fever free for 24/h before they come back. I honestly do not think that he had a fever to begin with, so I am really frustrated.
Other than that, last night hubby and I worked out together. He didnt do much, and I found out afterwards that he is "out of his heart meds". I wanna punch him when he lets his meds run out. I told him to call the dr and get a new script. We will see if he actually does that.
I made a really yummy dinner. Pasta (ate a bit but can't eat much) with a red sauce that had chunks of the meatloaf we had the night before in it. Not 100% sure on how much protein I got yesterday but I am confident that it was at least 60g.
This is going to be one busy week. Yesterday after lunch I scheduled 4 1hr meetings for a project that I need to have done by monday. Nothing like some pressure to get the productivity up!
I hope you all stay warm on this chilly day. :)
Good morning Sue and the rest of Illinois!
I am working toady and trying to stay warm. Got the Under Armour on and another pair of silk long johns.
Not much happening with me today, just hoping that I have not caught whatever Liv had. I have minor cold symptoms and last night my stomach was unsettled. This is how she was all last week. Here's hoping!
I agree with Lisa's post about the amount of people replying on Monday...it is great to see. I know that during the holidays I have been lax about posting. Now that the holidays are over there may be more daily postings.
I never made it to Kohl's yesterday....I took the ornaments off the tree...now when it will get put into the garage is another story....everything else is put away.
I'm going to the gym tonight! I can't wait. I really need to workout....I still can't believe I look forward to sweating.....I still can't believe I actually like working out......hmmmm life has really changed for me....
Keep warm, keep safe and have a great day!
I hope everyone is staying warm. I'm at my sisters house, she had surgery on her foot and is non weight barring for minimum of 4 weeks. I'm cooking for her family and getting her son off to school.
The holidays were tuff, emotional and eating. I did realize that I do use food as my friend. I seem to graze when I'm stressed out. The good thing is that I didn't gain weight. That can be a good thing or it could be a bad thing. The interesting part is that I was making better choices, not eating the whole cookie tray, only having 6 cookies. Huge improvement.
I have noticed that when I get stressed out, I feel so tight. Why when your tight the things that we aren't supposed tot be eating go down without a problem?
Today I need to do some shopping for Carolyn. Work on Wildtree and get more tasting books, exciting new products were introduced Jan 1, can't wait to try them.
Wishing everyone a day filled with love and happiness. Stay warm
Deanna
Good morning Sue and Illinois!!
I was suppose to go to work this morning, but when I woke up I had a slight fever, sore throat and this congestion in my head that doesn't want to go away. My husband said I should take the day off so I don't get everyone at work sick...I followed that advice and I know the bosses would rather I stay home today. After sleeping in, I feel a little better, so we'll see how the day goes.
My plan to journal my food and exercise is working, as I definitely got in my protein yesterday. It is hard seeing everyone eating pizza while I'm eating chicken or fish, but I know it's better for me. Tomorrow I go for my one month nutrition class and I'm interested to see how it will go. I am not going to stay for a fill afterwards, as Dr. Lahmann wants me to wait until the end of the month. I will make my appointment today for that though, so I can make sure I get it off for work. I'm hoping that I can feel better later so that I can fit some exercise into my plans.
It was very nice to see so many posting yesterday. I've only been coming on here for a few months now, but I do enjoy reading how everyone is doing along their journey! Take care and stay warm everyone!
