Good morning, Carol and Illinois,
Your exercise plan sounds great, good luck. I think that's the most important part, having a plan. I agree with you Connie, hope we get some snow this week to protect the plants, sounds like we are going in to the deep freeze again at the end of the week.
Going to go for a walk this morning then Pilates class tonight. Need to call Blue Cross RX for my husband, they are showing we missed a payment in Oct but we paid it so now I need to pull out all my cancelled checks, ugh.
Sounds like we might have some sunshine tomorrow, yah!

Well we just got a snow flurry, but it's only covering the roads and sidewalks. Supposedly going to get another inch or two today. I can't wait to see the first buds of tulips and crocus!
I sincerely hope we see the sun tomorrow, I just want to stand outside with my face up to the sun and soak it up for as long as I can! I've missed the sun I was seriously considering going to a tanning salon just to get the light fix!

The snow has already started here. I'm kinda glad. Everything looked so dirty after all the snow melted yesterday.
I have a long list of things to do today. Laundry is started, kinkos, bank, work out at 10, music store, and then lots of applications to complete on line for the business, then work at 5.
I need to get busy and stay focused. Have a great Monday everyone!

Boy does the wind just eat through you today - I am frozen.
Took my daugher to preschool and then got to babysit my niece for a bit while my sister had her teeth clean. So much fun! Then we went to lunch at the Cracker Barrel. It was very nice. My sister and I shared the grilled chicken tenders - yummy - I only had one and some green beans. My daughter and her daughter shared pancakes - pretty cheap meal. I missed going out to lunch with her - now it is a little easier to find something that is on my allowed list.
Since my one month check up - I have been making it a point to remember my vitamins. Doing pretty good even though I do not care for them. Ugh! Still need to improve my protein, managing one shake need to get in that second for the day. Have a new Magic Bullet so I think that I will be doing a protein smoothie in the evening with some fresh/frozen fruit. Sounds more exciting!

I know it is winter, but I have the perfect solution to getting in protein that is yummy! I put 3 scoops of vanilla protein powder in a big blender container. I then add soy milk to the 3 cup line. Depending on what flavor you want you can get sugar free syrups DaVinci is one brand (found in the coffee aisle at Walmart). I add 2 TBSP of sugar free syrup and blend together. I add 8-10 frozen strawberries to mak it really cold. Place mixture in an ice cream maker and process according to the manufacturer's directions. When frozen I place frozen or fresh fruit in individual ziplock bowls. I often use Schwanns frozen smoothie fruits and/or fresh bananas. If I want chocolate I add sugar free chocolate syrup and the chocolate flavoring. Store the bowls in the freezer. To serve, zap in the microwave for about 30 seconds.
