Tuesday Roll Call
Good morning. Can you say Pea Soup? All of you that have to drive anywhere give yourself extra time.
On my way into the salt mines here in a short while. I have a love hate relationship with Tuesdays as it is my late in/out day. I can sleep in with no alarm but need to stay until 4pm.

Hello everyone
Well it's another day. I didn't sleep well last night. I had a weird dream that woke me up and I had trouble falling back asleep again. So now I am sleepy.
I am trying different breakfasts because I'm getting tired of my old breakfast. I had Cheerios this morning. It was a nice change. I eat my breakfast at work, so I need something easy to bring to work. Any ideas??? I am trying to get back on track. I have been falling off the "band"wagon lately. But with my treadmill I have been exercising. I want eat better too. I have no will power what so ever. Here is an example. A friend of mine was selling cooking dough for her kid. I bought some cookie dough. Well that crap was calling my name and more times I care to admit I would end up eating cookies. So what did I do...I threw the rest of the box of cookie dough away. I know it's such a waste but I needed to get that stuff out of my house ASAP!!! See no will power...if it's in front of me I eat it.
Well better get back to work. Have a nice day.

Good morning Christine and Illinois,
I'm right there with you Crystal, I just can't have things in the house. I used to bring oatmeal to have for breakfast at work, that always tasted good, especially in the winter.
Well, I survived day one of the pre-op diet. It actually wasn't too bad. At my pre-op class yesterday though, they said Day 3 was the worst so we'll see. That 4 oz of roasted chicken and 1/2 c green beans sure tasted good though. A lot of the people in the pre-op class did not realize they had to give up coffee and diet pop and weren't too happy about it. That is one of the many things that is so nice about this site, I've learned so much ahead of time. I went off caffeine about 10 years ago so at least I won't have those withdrawals. The pop won't bother me either.
Going to the gym this morning then I have to make brownies for our garden club meeting tonight. I don't think that will bother me too much, I thought I'll get them baked and cut and put on the tray and take them right out to the car so they are not in the house. Hope that works.
Our SIL went to the ortho yesterday and has to have surgery tomorrow. It's probably for the best, he is so active so you want to make sure he heals as good as he possibly can.
Hope everyone has a great day, looks like 50's all week!
Lynn

Bravo! I also just threw away some "bad food" --- some leftover Cheetos --- that were in my house (kid bought them) and had been sitting on the kitchen table for two weeks. Of course, with two steps forward, one back, I had eaten about three big handfuls tonight before I just wrapped the bag up and stuffed it into trash. However, for me, this is the first bad-food-tossing I've done in 15 years. So, I'm proud of it. Yes, the Cheetos have blown today's calorie count and let me watch myself compulsively eat (observation is the first step toward change for me), but I did throw them out. --- The Cheetos have left the building.
You DO have will power you threw out the rest of the cookie dough!
Very , very smart.
congrats!

Hello ,
No fog here, it was bad last evening but has cleared off nicely.
Crystal, I take protein bars with me. That way I can have my decafe before I leave.
Lynn, I haven't drank soda or caffinated coffee for years either. It wasn't a problem to give it up, since the only time I drink soda is in a mixed drink. That is something else that I rarely drink.
After work today, I need to go to Walmart. I wanted to leave early for work and go before, but, I overslep, again.
Have a great day, stay safe and get outside for a bit today.
Huggers,
LISA

Good morning Christine and the rest of Illinois!
It was very foggy in the country, but highway 20 was pretty clear on the way in.
I filled the grill last night and now have food for the week. I made Caribbean pork chops, Asian chicken breasts, beef brats, cheeseburgers and ham steak. YUM, YUM!!!!! The first grill of the year is the best, I say!
Our detective friend from up the street brought the release form so that David can do a "ride-along" with the Freeport Dept. during his Spring Break. He is possibly interested in law enforcement, and this should help him decide. At least I HOPE so. We would really like to see him set some type of goal since he only has one year of high school left.
Not much else exciting going on in my world today, just home to take Liv to rehearsal and decide which of the grilled meats to have for dinner.
Everyone have a lovely day, the sun is coming out now!

Dawn, fantastic news with David. Coming from 30+ yrs in law enforcement I can tell you that it can be a very rewarding career. If he plays his cards right he will get places. He will more than likely need to get an associates degree in LE or a bachelor's degree in any field. So tell him to keep his grades up.
