Afternoon, Illinois,

Is this a nap afternoon or what?  Trying to get some last minute paperwork done and have a ham in the oven.  One of my husbands' best friends passed away this morning so we're going to take the ham over to his home later this evening.  Sad day around here.  My poor husband's been worried enough about my surgery Monday and now he has this.  His wife asked him to give a eulogy which is going to be very hard for him.  Guess we'll get through it all.  I just feel bad I'm not going to be able to be with him for the services.

We've got a Baptism tomorrow for the neighbors baby and then home relaxing.

Stay warm and dry!!!!

Lynn

Sorry to hear about your husband's loss of his friend. With the grace of God you will get through it. When you are PO you will be able to walk alongside the family and help support them. They are always strong for the funeral but it is always lonely 2 or 3 weeks later. That is when Dave and I have found that we needed people the most.

Hello~

My morning started out early.  I was in the car headed to the gym to meet with my trainer when she called to cancel because she was sick.  I turned around and got an early start on my errands.  My mom and I went to Kohls to get a spring jacket for her.  Then, on to Wild Birds Unlimited for a couple of bird houses.  Got to keep my feathered friend happy so they stick around.  Finally, on to a quilt store.  Two of my friends are having combined baby shower at work on April 23.  I am making both of them baby quilts.  I got the fabric for one, blues and greens.  I had to order the fabric for the other one.  Both mom and dad are alumni of Perdue University.  I found Perdue fabric online.

I have a baby hat I have to finish knitting for a cousin having her second baby.  Almost done with that one and will mail it off during the week.

Have a great weekend!

Sue, which Wlld Birds did you go to? You are not too far from me, I am in Itasca. I used to go to the one in Arlington Heights years ago. That place is one that I need to keep out of or I spend big bucks.

I went to the one in Lisle on Ogden Ave.  I have a hard time leaving there without spend lots of $$$!  My next big purchase is a feeding pole/station.  I have about four feeders now and they are hanging on shepard hooks and from a tree.  I would like to consolidate them a bit.
