Friday Roll Call

 Happy Friday Everyone!

Yes, I am still around.  I think about everyone but it seems that I have limited time.  I actually posted here the other day and then hit submit and had everything erased.  Did not have time to repost.  :>(   It seems that I just dont have enough hours in the day.  With my work schedule, I have a very limited time in the morning and the same in the evening.  By the time I get home from work and get dinner, eat and clean up it is usually 8:30 or later.  Sigh.  Then it is time for bed or time to fall asleep while on the computer.  My usual trick.  

I am glad it is Friday!  It will be a busy weekend for me.  Tomorrow is the major fundraiser for our animal shelter.  We have an auction.  It is always a good time, but lots of work.  This year we are having it at Grand Bear Resort.  We are excited about the new location.  Should be fun.  It will be a long day though.  Then of course there are the usual weekend errands to squeeze in.

I hope Lynn and Yolanda are feeling well as they come home and start coping with their new life.  Just remember to walk, walk, walk and sip, sip, sip.  The more you walk, the faster you get rid of that #$%^  gas!!!  Carol, our thoughts and prayers are with you.  It is never easy to lose a parent and you are never ready to lose them no matter how young or old they are.

Hello everyone

I am so glad it's Friday.  I also leave early today too....woohoo!!!  I have a doctor appointment.  So I am out of here at 2:30!!!  I was so temped to just call in today and not come into work.  Maybe I will take a half a day???

I will run around after work.  I have a few errands and then I am home for the weekend.  No plans for the weekend. 

My daughter called me yesterday.  She was busy putting siding on a house.  She said it was 75 degrees down there...ahhh doesn't that sound nice....75 degrees.  She really didn't have that much time to talk but just wanted to check in.  Just think she only has 6 weeks before she graduates!!!  She will be the first person on both sides of the family to have a Bachelors degree.  

Nancy- my friend and her family was just at that resort.  She loved it and wants to go back this summer.

Lynn & I are hanging in there. I am grateful to have her throughout this process , it has really helped. She is truely a wonderful person
I am having some pain on my left side, hoping it starts to feel better soon. I think I am drinking to much water too fast. Am I supposed to sip and sip again right away?
I could only get in 2 meals yesterday, seems impossible to eat 3 and all the medication, water, and vitamins. Last night I only had water and potassium, yuck, and was so bloated.
I walked 10 min 4 times yesterday, did dishes, leg exercises in my chair, and just trying to be active.
I think when I lose some weight I will volunteer at our animal shelter
I am so sorry for your loss Carol, I can' t imagine losing my parents. Hang in there.

Lack of potasium landed me back in the hospital when it also caused me to be dehydrated.  It looks like you are doing great.  Sip the water constantly but you need to stop when it causes pain.

Good Morning.

I can't believe that my vacation week is about over. It went so fast, and I really didn't get anything much done. So, Monday its back to  work.

They are putting rock on the roadway in front of the house this morning. We may be able to get into our driveway within the next week.
There still is a lot to do so hopefully by the end of June it will be done. Of course, i might still be saying that in July, but it will be closer to the end.

My DGD will be leaving today to go to her Dads for the weekend. Then she will be back in school on Monday. I think we will be picking her up on Sunday to take home. 

I bought some Silk, Pure Almond yesterday. It is not bad, and only 90 calories per 8 oz. I am going to try it as a protein shake with either Choc. or vanilla mix and as protein ice cream.

Yvonne, you will be sipping, walking, ect, for the rest of your life. You may not be getting all the protein or water in as yet. But it will come.

I hope you and the hubby enjoyed White Fence.  I went to their kitchen managers home for thanksgiving and have also had some of their meats at a table group.

Good morning! I never seem to get on here early enough to actually post to this thread.

Man, it's COLD outside. I had to put on gloves and a hat to take my hubby to the train!

We're doing some oddball travelling next week for Spring Break. I am packing. And packing. And packing. How many clothes can two kids need?????

Good morning Nancy and the rest of Illinois!

Great to see you Nancy!  I understand about the busy part.

I work half a day today and Liv came into work with me.  We are going to get haircuts at noon then maybe new glasses before we do the Wally-World thing.

I have to brag for a minute.......I went to Liv's P/T conference last night and she is doing awesomely!  All A's except for a C in Freshman Algebra (she is in 8th grade).  The C is because she needs to ask for more help and she promised to to that to bring the grade up.  The FANTASTIC news is that on her last standardized "IOWA" test, she scored at a grade level of 13+ in ALL areas!!!!!  The teacher said that she has rarely seen anyone do so well.......even David!  I am very proud of her and if she keeps up the great work, she WILL become a Marine Biologist!
Way to go Liv!!!!! 

The boys are camping all weekend and since the fire pit is a no go, the girls and I are thinking of going to Huntley tomorrow.  We need a few things that they have and it sounds like "something to do".
