Wierd weather - we are completely overcast and are not supposed to see the sun and you are only about 50 north as the crow flys.

Shopping is always fun. I love to go to the Kitchen Collection store and look at the gadgets.

Godd Morning everyone... it sounds as if you're all back to your normal lives and routines. My journey has just started - I had my surgery this past Wed and am at home recovering. Doing well... still a little confused on eating and how much to eat and how often, but I think Im doing. It's funny because everyone said to expect to gain weight the first week or 2, or at least, don't expect to loose weight due to the actual surgery, but Im going down every day! It's nice actually. I just hope Im not starving myself and I haven't been able to get in all the protein yet! I need to figure that out.
It's definately still cool out today, but Im looking forward to the warm up this week as well - want to get outside and get walking! Sunner is just around the corner, you know!!
have a great day everyone.

Congrats on being home and PO. Didn't your DR office give you any quidelines on food and drinking consumption?

Hi Barbara, congrats on your surgery.  You really should check with your Dr.'s office if you don't have an itemized list of what you should be eating after surgery.  Remember, you are healing inside now, so normally you'd be on liquids, moving to purees, soft, etc.  The Dr. should have that spelled out for you.  Keeping hydrated is especially important, in my opinion, probably not as important as cramming all the protein in just yet.

Hope all goes well for you.  Also, weight loss is not the goal right now, although I know it's exciting when the scale goes down.  Take care of yourself.  You have just had major surgery and your body needs to recover!

 Good Afternoon Everyone!

I am recovering from our auction last night.  I think it was a huge success!  We had the biggest crowd ever!  I am waiting to hear how much money we raised.  I think we had a lot of people from the resort join us which was fun.  I came home with some bargains and one is sitting in my living room and I am trying to figure out what in the heck to do with it.  It is a huge bargain and I love it, but after I got it home, it is a lot larger than it looked in a banquet room.  It is a mobile kitchen island.  Retail price is $800.00 and I got it for $200.  I fell in love with it the moment I saw it.  Now I have to figure out where to put it or try to sell it.

Happy belated birthday to Connie!    I hope it was a great day!

Dawn, you tire me out just reading about your life.  Always on the run.  Lisa, I am glad you had the week with your DGD.  I hope work goes well this week.  Crystal, hope you got your room cleaned.

I am kind of looking forward to this week or at least to Wednesday.  I get the day off and it is supposed to be in the 70's!    That means not putting up with grumpy customers for a day, a shorter work week and a nice weather day that I can enjoy!

I hope everyone has a great week!
