Monday Roll Call
I'm at work...ahhh where did my three day weekend go??? Oh well I have three more this month!!!
I didn't do much yesterday as promised. I ordered groceries from Peapod yesterday. It was really nice to have my groceries delivered. No lugging bags up the stairs, waiting in long lines or driving in traffic. It is more expensive but I think I will use them often. Especially, in the winter, the stairs and walkway get very icy and I hate carrying bags up icy stairs (I have almost fallen several times). I also ordered everything organic so that is more money too. You really don't have to worry about impulse buying when your hungry. For me it was different then having the food right in my hands.
Well I hope everyone has a great day.
I have often thought of having food delivered also, but Peapod doesn't come down this far. Plus with DH working for Krogers, oh well. I manage to go shopping once a week, and don't stray to far over the budget most of the time.
I can agree with you, where does the weekends go.
This morning I am battleing a skin allergy. I know better then getting around the bushes in our side yard, and still managed to get red sploches on my face and neck. I have some cream I use on it, so hopefully it will clear up within a few days.
It is work for me today also.
Have a great day, stay safe.
Huggers,
LISA
Hope you get feeling better soon, Lisa, that has to be miserable.
I'm heading to breakfast with my cousin this morning then some yard work. The weeds will hopefully pull easier with the rain. I need to plant some of my perennials and divide a few too. Then I have to get an x-ray of my back before I start therapy tomorrow.
Enjoy the day!

I am working from home this morning and then off to my pre-op class this afternoon. My Mom is going with as she wants to take this journey with me. She has never had a wieght issue, but all of us kids have. My sister had the surgery done 5 years ago and she is doing well. I'm incredibly lucky to have both of them and the rest of my family for support.
Have a great day!

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!
I survived my weekend in the city with the girls! It was touch-and-go there on Saturday. It turns out that Liv is VERY affected by PMS, and so was our adult friend that went to the Cub game with us. Spending the day with the two of them about did me in!
On Saturday night, we took them to the Pier and Liv was a little better. All in all, we managed to have a pretty good time. It will take Liv some time to get used to "those" changes.
Back to work I am today, but really wishing I could have thought ahead to take advantage of the free hotel room until tomorrow. Oh well........
I won tickets to see Nickelback in Milwaukee, but I have to drive to Madison to pick them up. I will go get them on Friday. The drive will still be less expensive than the tickets. I am planning on taking David for HIS birthday.
We saw a Peapod truck downtown yesterday, and I thought of you Crystal!
Welcome to Jennifer too! So glad you are joining us!
Better get back to work!
Have a fantastic day!
I decided to take today off so I could do some work at home this weekend and have today to finish up. My biggest project was cleaning out my closet. I have hardly ANY clothes that fit and no room in my closet to add ones that do, so bagging to give away and bagging to throw. Wow, how did I get so many clothes!
On Sat. AM I went to good old Kohls and bought some new "stuff". It is so exciting to try on such smaller size REGULAR size clothes now. I intend to keep losing, but a girl has to have some stuff that fits! LOL
My project this morning was working on my garage door. It would go down and then stop about a 2 feet from closing all the way. I've worked with it before and ususally fixed it, but this time, I just couldn't make it work. Went on line an saw a couple of pics at genie and triggered my AHA moment. Made some adjustments and happy to say, IT WORKS! Am always glad I was the "tomboy" who hung around with my Dad on the farm. I surely learned alot from him about how to "fix stuff>" My sister wasn't interested, and was always amazed at the things I could do. Nice to be somewhat self sufficient, anyway!
Well, I have the carpet guy here cleaning my family room carpet. It 12:30. AFter he leaves, I think I'm heading up Orland way to shop for a "dressier" outfit for a Womens' Seminar I'm co Chair of., and need to find something to wear!
Everyone have a super day.
